Huge medieval enthusiast here, I heard of this app on The Medieval Podcast. Downloaded it straight away. Really fun, informative and entertaining app, and easy to use! Very well done here

  • So cool!

I love expanding my vocabulary in cool ways and I love using these words. I think it’s very interesting. Can y’all make a 50s vocabulary one? I’d really appreciate it. I love this app. I recommend it!
  • No title

Your site is very unique and is like nothing I have ever seen.
Greatly appreciated by a novice like me. I cannot imagine the incredible effort to create it. Thank you!.
  • Very cool

Very fun app, very cool pictures and art with the words to learn. Who ever made this did a great job and thank you for not having any ads, I appreciate that. I gotta go buy the book, it looks interesting and fun 😊
  • Only app I’ve ever deemed worthy of an honest review

After using iOS for nearly 15 years, this is the first review I’ve ever stopped and took the time to review. Its design is simple and seamless, while beautiful ornate. It was obviously developed by someone with a real passion for the subject. I only had a passing interest in Old English before finding this, but now I look forward to the daily digression into history and etymology that it inspires.
  • Cool

Pretty cool if you need some words
  • Wonderful

This is great stuff. So uplifting to find ancient words that are still with us. It is like having living ancestors.
  • Love this app

Fantastic app. The production and quality is outstanding. This is the app equivalent of that little, extraordinarily beautiful book you like to take out and just look at.

If I can make one suggestion, I’d love more etymological info on the relation to modern English words but especially the word’s origins and roots going back to earlier Germanic languages and PIE etc., even just an easy link to Wiktionary or something would be great.
  • A delight

This is one of the most beautiful and beautifully-designed apps I’ve ever seen. It’s fun seeing a new word each day on the widget. Great for any word nerd!
