Can’t add new language- overall great

I’m working on a new language and was unable to locate a way to add it after I’d added my initial languages- it would be nice to be able to easily add in a new practice target language!

A fun language app

I’ve tried a few different language apps and they all have strengths and weaknesses. This one is particularly fun and engaging.

Problem with picking different card after swiping

Whenever I swipe cards for see more different cards then pick one, for somehow it won't apply the card I picked. Thus my partners get confused due to it shows the wrong card. Please fix this problem.

Highly effective writing practice

This fun app/game lets me practice language areas I need and makes the process fun.

I needed an app to help get me from Italian B1 to B2 with writing practice so I can improve my spoken Italian. Duolingo isn’t useful at this level. Busuu’s writing is a chore. italki lessons are great but expensive.

Polygloss is perfect for fun writing practice. Highly recommended!

This app makes me think how to say things in another language, and I like the interaction with other players.

Good app

This is a really cool app! It makes me sad that not a lot of people use it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m new to using the app, but the most recent message I’ve seen anyone send was from March… most are from a few weeks or months ago. Barely anyone is online from what I can tell, and no one can reply to my matches quickly. Am I doing something wrong?

Cool idea but backwards

The app sets you up so that if you’re learning language X, it partners you with someone else learning the same language. That’s not effective—you can’t correct each other and you’ll keep making the same mistakes. If I’m fluent in X and learning Y, pair me with someone fluent in Y and learning X!

Hi Mlevie, the app pairs you with whoever is open to practising that language, other learners or natives willing to help out. Think of it as a language meetup, or a hostel lounge. You'll encounter people with several ranges of proficiency. Any practise helps you learn, not just with natives, because it helps you increase your active vocabulary. But if you still want to practice with natives only, add some of them to your friends list and start a match directly with that person. Cheers!

Great way to practice formulating your thoughts

Simple concept. Pick one of four images and write a sentence about it. Great way to build your vocabulary and to identify gaps where you don’t know how to express a particular idea.

I generally try to write a couple sentences while looking up things as needed. After a week or so I’m already noticing an improvement in my ability to be able to say what I want to say without having to look things up.

Hi noxiousgg, this is great feedback! I'm really happy the app is making a noticeable difference in your language journey. Thanks for the review!

Perfect writing practice

I love practicing my target language and helping others with my native language. One piece of feedback: can you make the keyboard automatically switch language to the target language? Google translate does this and this would be a nice UX win
