hobbyDB Funko, Cars & Figures User Reviews

WAS good.

I’ve been a member since before it was hobbydb and always casually add pops when I got them and would check my collection value every so often and just to see which ones were gaining value, that feature has always been available. Now, you have to pay for it which I find incredibly backwards. I get paying for new features but now paying for something that has always been free? Next they’ll have you pay to see what a pop is even worth.

Too many adds

Not sure why they make everything so complicated. There’s dozens of ways they could make this app more user friendly. Not impressed at all.

$5 to track figurines… ok

I honestly love this app to track my Funko and other vinyls in my collection. But, I am not going to pay $5 to see their total value, which I could spend on steaming services and others. This is an absolute scam and I think you should add some more features to premium make it like $2-3. That or just scrap the whole premium thing entirely, which I think a lot of people would prefer.

Most infuriating “app” I’ve ever seen

What kind of garbage is this. It re directs you to a web page for literally everything. Every time I try to scan an item into my collection, it re directs me to the App Store trying to get me to download the same garbage app that I am trying to use. For the love of god, if you’re going to make an app then make an app. Not a re direct to a web page that won’t even let me use any of the features that I need. I wish I could rate less than one star. I want the hour of my life back that I’ve wasted trying to use this steaming heap. 11/10 don’t recommend

Not what it used to be!

Pop Price Guide was great. Very convenient for a collector. Simple and easy to use. Then it became an “app” which is just a redirect link to the website and then became hobbyDB and all the problems started. I can understand that ads are sometimes necessary but not when they make your “app” so glitchy it crashes every 5 seconds and the user cannot even see their collection. Then they decided to start charging people for this. Sorry guys, I wish I could give positive feedback but all the convenient features on here require payment now and I wouldn’t pay a dollar for something that doesn’t even work properly.

Charging for mediocrity? Pass.

So this app was mediocre in the fact that it basically was just a link to their website if you wanted to do or see anything. Now that they’re trying to charge for that it’s no longer worth keeping around. This is the end of hobbydb. I pay $2 a month to keep track of thousands of comics and it’s all done in an actual app and not just links to a website.

Well..

I love this app. I’ve used it for a long time now. Unfortunately I can’t access my collection via the app or online. I keep getting a message stating a problem repeatedly occurred on the app and the online page keeps freezing and not responding. I’ll keep checking back and change my rating if it’s fixed. Fairly bummed. This app is an absolute must, so hopefully they figure this out.

Response from developer

Shannon, thanks for the feedback! I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean. Could you email me at support@hobbydb.com and we can discuss? Ask for Zack

Almost 0 In App Functionality

Everything redirects you to the website and even the site is slow , unfortunate because it has great potential.

Great App But…

It’s a great app I’m actually new to it. But I thought it was a generated app but it directs you to the actual web, which I was trying to avoid. Maybe work on that issue and this app will be amazingly great!

Great app for collectors

I’ve been using this app for a few months now and I can say it has some great features for collection management as well as discovering new items. I wish I found it sooner!

I know the team has many planned enhancements in the pipeline and I look forward to see them over time. Although a more modern UI would be nice to have, I’m glad the functionality is prioritized (I personally prefer useful features that are reliable over a modern UI with buggy or limited functionality). That said, it’s a great app for collectors. It’s the best app I’ve found for this purpose, so a big thanks to the team for putting this together!
