The absolute worst interface I’ve ever seen
There are no redeeming features to this application, and anyone reading or writing reviews of this abomination has had their time wasted by developers who have never bothered to QA their work. The Apple Store does not allow me to give a 0 star review, so this mess gets a pity star.
The IMAX website is also terrible (don’t use the back button anywhere, just an aside.) And they only process orders through PayPal, like some tent selling bracelets at a fair. However, it will actually process orders, so it beats this thing handily.Show lessAhzeeDahak
Will pay for more content!
Quality experience. I just need more movies! I don’t really have any negative feedback, a download feature could be useful. But I will pay money to watch more movies. Especially Dune part 2.Carlkyline
I would rather not see my hands
Can I get an option to not see my hands some of us are watching in low light conditions and it looks horrible when you’re laying in bed I’d like to just see the screen please.Beta control music
Half baked
This app clearly has a ton of potential but Imax is not using it. Where are the full length movies in 1.43? Where is Interstellar, Dunkirk, The Dark Knight, etc? Right now the app is a trailer player with a couple of documentaries, and the trailers aren’t even in 1.43. Why is Journey to the South Pacific not available in 3D? Why are there only a few documentaries available anyway? Does Imax not own the rights to its content or are they just too lazy to put any effort into this app? This is the first time we can watch 1.43 content at home, and IMAX has decided not to take the opportunity to showcase it.Show lessThesaxmaniac

This is truly an unbelievable way to experience a film. I desperately need Dune Part 1 & 2 to be added, as well as Oppenheimer!! Movies like those demand to be watched with such an immersive and stunning environment as this app provides.Hayden_CMH

Theater experience and what it’s missing
The environment on this app is the closest thing to having a theater in your home. Watching the Dune part 2 trailer felt like I was watching it in an IMAX theater. But there was one crucial aspect it was missing.
I really wish this could be a shared experience, such as choosing your seat and buying tickets to watch a newly released IMAX movie with other participants in the theater to give it the theater atmosphere so that you know others are watching the movie and experiencing the joy, the sadness every emotion with you. This is what this app needs to succeed and push to a further limit so it can be the future of entertainment.Show lessBukjru
