However, this isn’t due to fake profiles. Our app includes an “Explorer Mode” and a worldwide search feature, which any user can enable if they want to connect with people globally—especially when there might be fewer users in their local area. If you’d like to see only profiles within your specific search radius, please select the “Show people only within my search radius” option, which is available for free in the filter settings. Additionally, we want to assure you that each user undergoes automatic and manual verification by our moderators, and we have many verified users on our platform. You can even filter your feed to see only verified profiles.
