  • Does a great job in keeping our girls happy

    We’ve had our unit on our Omlet cube for a few years now. Only had a couple of issues in that time and was very pleased with the excellent customer care we received. Ed was great at solving our issue in a timely and efficient manner. We don’t use our quarantine Go Up coop often enough to fit another opener yet … but can’t see us buying a different make now we’ve had a Hentronix.

  • App Okay, BUT

    App works mostly okay, but solar battery horrible. Have had problems since the beginning and cannot get this company to respond for weeks at a time. Poorest customer service EVER! Have since removed the door and app and have gone with Omlet - a great company.
  • Got spoiled when it did work.

    This door was amazing when we first purchased it. Worked great for about 5 months but then the app stopped working. I’ve contacted customer support and they stopped replying to emails when I mentioned getting a replacement or refund. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all!
  • Not a reliable WI-FI controller

    Seems to lose Wifi connection every few weeks.. When this happened it also locks up the Bluetooth. Door is unable to be controlled … I can power cycle and get the controller back via Bluetooth but WIFi has a mind of its own.. so disappointing…

  • Automatic door

    App needs updating! Doesn’t work half the time.
  • Frustrating

    App says my battery is fine, at least 14v but I often wake up to a dead system with closed doors. I then have to dismantle the motor section to let the chickens out . I charge the battery for a few hours and then it lasts a few more days if I’m lucky and the same again with no warning the battery is about to “go dead”. What use is the battery status function of the app? Beeping at me is no help.

    I’ve tried asking questions to customer support with useless replies a day or two later such as “I wonder if you have a multimeter” or “do you have a plug socket nearby”.

    The system is flawed. If the battery is past it’s shelf life that’s only 18 months use and at £30 a pop each time it’s not sustainable. I asked what the shelf life should be and received no answer.

    I am at my wits end. If I could return the whole setup I would but I doubt Hentronix would be interested in a refund. They ignored my request for a new seal and screws due to having to open the control unit so many times.

  • Was so exited

    I was excited when the WiFi version came out, so I ordered the new board and installed it. Worked great for a month. It’s really great…..when it works. Constantly loses the WiFi connection and struggles with the Bluetooth. I reset. Followed all the trouble shooting. New battery. Now can’t connect and just hoping it opens.

  • Totally Unreliable

    Hentronix I purchased the new Wi-Fi board with app after having the Hentronix opener for a few years. The original boards problem is that when there are dark heavy rain clouds it closes early locking the hens out, so I needed something with a timed function. When I originally bought the opener the chap was really helpful. I’m very disappointed to say that this new purchase and the after sales is awful. The board was fitted after arrival [this was over 3 weeks after I ordered it!] Hentronix stated a delay of 2 weeks but I had to constantly chase it up. The board seemed to work ok initially and easy set up. But the next day I went to the coop in the morning to find the door had not opened and the hens were trapped inside! I contacted Edward at Hentronix, who advised me to reset the board. Then followed a month! Of me trying to get help with this ongoing problem. The board freezes in either open or closed position randomly. Hentronix are only contactable by email and take days to respond. Not good if you are dealing with equipment looking after livestock! He basically kept saying it was strange it did not work and tried blaming a power problem. I checked all voltages and power was fine. Strangely He would not swap the board for a replacement! This makes me believe this board is still in a development stage, and I would not trust it at all to look after my hens as I am away quite a lot. As a small business you need to get your customer care right, not answering emails is terrible, and to have a phone line that’s states you can only contact by email because of covid is ridiculous. I don’t mind waiting as long as I am kept informed as to what’s happening to solve a problem, In the end I gave up as nothing was happening and I could get no information from Edward on what solution to the problem he could suggest, I had waited over another week for an email to answer to my question of an update, then realised he did not have an answer and was ignoring my messages! the board was returned for refund. I then had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back as once again Hentronix were ignoring my emails and texts. I really do not recommend the Hentronix wifi board, or the company! I will be purchasing a new opener from another company as all I wanted was the timer function.

  • No longer works

    This was fine until the update (14/3/21). All my settings disappeared. No longer finds the opener. Very annoyed.

    A quick update. I emailed the developer and had a reply within about half an hour (on a Sunday too). He suggested a factory reset which immediately sorted the issue.

    Keeping one star back for moment though for having the issue in the first place!
