First I want to declare that I work at SilverRock as a starter and/or Marshall. I love SilverRock and all the people working there, from the groundskeeper to the administration and the restraint, they are always concerned about the customer enjoying his time playing at SilverRock. The course is very unique, the Arnold Palmer design is beautiful. You play right next to the mountains, where you occasionally view the Desert Big Horn sheep. However the course is challenging with water and sand traps that readily add to the score. I love to tell a first time player about the course because I can guarantee that the experience will be pleasurable. I truly have people that visit our course every time they are in the desert. The fact is that I am not familiar with many public courses that offer the enjoynment. The only negative that I am aware of is that recently during the summer we have had problems keeping the grass healthy. So some of the fairways have burn spots. We are working on trying to avoid those problems as we are currently experimenting with a myriad of seed types to avoid these annoying problem and perhaps discovering a grass able to be healthy all year round. Please come and check out our course. I talk to people playing everyday and first timers are always enjoying their play. Come check it out. Chuck Cawthorne
