The iBikeRide mountain bike trail app helps you with pre-ride planning, organising group rides. in-ride navigation, route recording, and post-ride sharing and reviewing.
In-Ride Recording & Navigation:
There are two options to record your ride: A) RECORD your ride or B) RECORD & GO ONLINE, to also share your location dynamically with your riding buddies. After your ride, you can choose to upload or delete the ride. You can also overlay previous rides onto the map if you want to check out a previous route.
When choosing RECORD & GO ONLINE you can keep connected to your MTB buddies when out on the trails to help you keep safe if you get split up or lost. It also adds to the fun of the ride as you see in real-time who is leading the pack or who is at the back. This feature is mobile network coverage dependent.
The iBikeRide Trail map is also 'Powered by Strava' and enables you to access Strava Segments using the Popular button on the map pages to help in in-ride navigation as well as pre-ride planning.
The app also supports Authentication with Strava. You authenticate once registered or logged in from your Account page. Once authenticated you will be able to sync with the My Strava button and view on the main trail map your latest Strava: Activities, Starred Segments, and Routes. You can also sync your iBikeRide uploads with Strava.
For pre-ride planning and post-ride review:
The Group Ride service enables you to find group rides to join or you can create and publish your own that can be open to either everyone or a closed group just for specific friends. You can find and invite your friends here on the App with the Friend service or invite straight from email, text, WhatsApp, Messenger, and so forth. You can also chat privately with friends on the site.
You can use the trail 'Map' to find the nearest trails to your chosen location and then check out directions, trail descriptions, pictures, videos, and rider reviews and add your own.
You can browse by the most 'Popular' trails, or 'Search' by any keyword. The 'Feed' service keeps you up to date with all new user activity and there is the latest Trail 'News' service covering new Trail activity across the UK.
Over time we will add more pre-ride, in-ride, and post-ride group services.
