Muting, blocking accounts and muting hashtags are welcome options. Coming from Twitter you might miss trending hashtags. Your account privacy is better protected than most other sites.
The iPhone app is lackluster. Uploaded images may come out sideways, there are workarounds. You should read manual. Maybe it’s for security, but having to log into the app frequently is a pain and my IPhone, with the latest IOS update, does not prompt to save username/password.

First time using this
This is my first time using this. I’m looking a platform similar to the one with the blue bird (to not say the name), because I don’t like anything that have been happening with the new crazy management… Anyways! This platform looks decent for my taste it could be better styled. Can be a replacement from the blue bird 🐦 but it will need a lot of referrals and promotions. Maybe also open it for 3rd party creator since they were kicked out recently also form the blue bird company.
I’m still playing around with this but I think it can be better organized.

Needs an iPad compatible app
This network desperately needs an iPad compatible app quickly. Most apps, even though they don't have a dedicated iPad app, the iPhone app still works on the iPad. This app is the first I've seen that doesn't allow that. Please make a working iPad app because I don't care for the website very much. Thank you for a great Twitter alternative and I look forward to future app and network developments.

Excellent social media
Love the site, it’s everything a microblogging/real-time-conversation platform should be. The culture of the place means even disagreements I’ve had all four as positive interactions, and it’s generally a pleasant place to be.
My only issue is that the app was a bit unstable when I was using it and would frequently log me out, so I use a third-party social media app to access it on mobile for now. Will try this app again down the track.

A true social network
CoSo is exactly what I was looking for. An opportunity to connect with others with similar interests while also reading about ideas and opinions different from my own. Best of all there's no drama. No fear-mongering. Just good conversation and lots of opportunities to share a laugh, thought, art, music, news and so much more. It's not a popularity contest. It's a social network with a lot of heart.

Twitter Escapee
Left the hellhole that is Twitter and found Counter Social which is its polar opposite. It is without bots, trolls, ads, algorithms, vicious attacks and death threats which I experienced on the other site.
The grown ups gather here to discuss news, politics, lifestyles, pets, health, cooking, travel etc without rancor or nasty disagreements.

Love this app!
I joined Counter Social back when Musk first threatened to buy Twitter. I didn’t think I could live without twitter at the time. When his purchase recently became final, I left twitter and began using CoSo. I LOVE IT so much better! All the nastiness of Twitter is absent and I don’t miss it at all. I love the pet pics, random thoughts, and music that flow from the community firehose. I love that my friends are in a different column and it’s easy to see their posts. And I really love that there is now a choice between dark and light mode! Very quickly after becoming active here, I deleted twitter off my phone and gave it’s spot on my Home Screen to CoSo!

Easy to join, easy to use. Find your communities!
Doomscroll no more! Counter Social is what I loved about Twitter when I joined it 15 years ago. No ads, no trolls, no misinformation. Use hashtags to find others who share your interests. The app is pretty basic, but intuitive. Upgrades and new functionality come online regularly. Excellent support for new users from documentation and from the community. Doomscroll no more!
