Nothing’s perfect and works all the time. But I signed up and added content to my profile and it crashed.
Then re-opening the app had to login again and it got to 99% and hung.
Had to close account via website.

Not a good start
I'm using it on my iPad and it doesn't work. I'm told to open it on an IOS device.
Great social media community, decent app
The social media network itself is great - no ads, bots, and trolling/disinformation is forbidden. So just good interactions with friends and strangers.
The app is perfectly usable, but does have a few minor inconveniences - no notifications support, and it’s obviously just an app that loads the web interface.

No trolls or bots
Why go anywhere else ? A safe place you can post on and debate and know people won’t get angry with you

I’m not sure why this app gets such high reviews. It’s empty of any real information. You want news? Information from experts? Sports? Movies? Etc….? You’re out of luck! At best you may get some nobodies posting about a topic you’re interested in but there’s no telling if they’re actually experts. It does seem to keep the trolls off but I be interested in seeing if they could do that if they had a higher user base. Also, the search function is next to useless. I don’t think I’ve seen a worse search function before. In the end I would recommend staying away from Counter Social.

Not supported on iPad even though it claims it is
Keep it simple like Twitter
They disparately need a basic “trending news” column like Twitter has. That is what I check on Twitter hourly! The firehose column on here is beyond a joke.
Also, not very engaging at all. If you like a zillions of cat pic, recipes, nerdy posts and Volvo lovers than this place is for you.
Waiting for some major changes. Search is a joke, hashtags are a joke and the layout is to big.
Just keep it simple and give us “trending news” and “trending topics” and this thing will take off so fast!

Unable to register. I give up.
In spite of using only letters, numbers, and underscores, providing my email address, having 8 or more characters in my password, and checking the terms of service box, I’m unable to create an account. There’s no explanation other than “looks like something is wrong” Looking through the reviews I can see this is a recurring problem. No information about this problem is available anywhere. The frequently asked questions sections of their website does not address this issue in any way shape if form.

Well Done!
I don’t use Twitter or any other social media, but wanted to start with something Twitter-like. Created account on Mastodon official platform, but the apps were all clunky and the server was too. Kept looking and found Counter Social. Wow, what a great platform/app!! Much smoother and more professional looking than Mastodon official. CoSo has great tools for blocking, muting and filtering content which you don’t want to see. Overall well done!

How it should be
This social media website is how social media should be. I have not experienced the technical difficulties that the reviews on here state. Sign up was easy. Once inside there is lots of help available. Being social is encouraged and trolls and hate speech and blatant misinformation is booted. Real people who care.
