  • Memorizing Made Easy

This app is easy to use and is an excellent resource for memorizing scripture. No need to over-think the learning process, just use the tools provided, be consistent and I am able to successfully recall the verses I have selected. Thank you!
  • Very Helpful

I’m an older person and memorizing is a lot more difficult than it used to be. This app makes it easier to memorize by presenting the verse several different ways. You can choose the verses you want to learn and the version you want to use or the app will give you choices of verses you can start with.

There are several tabs you can choose from. “Blur “ presents you with the whole verse. Each time you touch “blur” several words are removed and you have to fill in the blank. “Initial” gives you the first letter of each word of the verse, so you have a hint but have to remember each word. “Word” presents you with a choice of several words starting with the first word of the verse. You have to touch the correct word in each series until you correctly complete the verse. “Type” requires you to type the entire verse and the app either affirms or denies each word so you can correct it if necessary. You can also have the app read the verse to you so another sense is involved in the learning. Best yet, there are no ads and it’s completely free although you can donate. I work with the app for a few minutes every day, and I’ve found learning verses to be much easier than it’s been in a long time.

  • Great App, but Missing Critical Features

I recently downloaded this app and it has helped me memorize scripture with a speed and efficiency I never thought to be possible for me. While the format is a bit clunky at first, the app quickly becomes easy to use with practice. I do have two major quips though. 1. The app contains no Catholic translations. While the “other” selection allows verses to be copied and pasted from any translation, this quickly becomes very inconvenient when creating several memorization modules at a time. I would greatly appreciate if the devs would consider adding a RSV2CE/RSVCE, Douay-Rheims, NABRE, or other popular Catholic translation(s). 2. It is impossible to study the deuterocanonical books of scripture. Although it is possible to copy and paste text from books such as 2 Maccabees and Wisdom into the text box that appears after choosing “other” as my translation, the app still forces the user to pick the book, chapter, and verse(s) from a predetermined list in order to create the module. Because this list excludes the deuterocanon, the user is blocked from any module containing these books. I ask the devs to add these books as soon as possible because I love using this app as a study too and would love to use it to memorize these books as well. Overall this is a great app, albeit incomplete in my opinion, but I can see myself using it to continue my study of scripture for a long time.
