Groups Recover Together
Groups itself has been wonderful for me. Personally, I once went to another agency’s one on one counseling and that was never for me. Groups Recover Together and their type of counseling has worked so much better, in my opinion.
I’m so glad I chose Groups for my recovery. Recently, our counselor has changed, but the first one helped me more than any other counselor has. She was amazing. She gave us the tools necessary for staying in recovery but in a way that helped us to move forward. At GRC, we don’t focus on the place we was, instead we’re encouraged to strengthen who we are now. My experience with counseling elsewhere, whether it was individual or a group setting didn’t help me to move forward but Groups Recover Together has. They’ve also helped me to deal with the loss of my husband to cancer as well. GRC itself gets 5+ stars from me.
(Rating is solely for the app)…for the most part it’s worked out for me. It was always hard to find a sitter for my children so having this, as a weekly Zoom call, has taken that worry from me.
I do think some improvements could be made on the app. I don’t mind the care plan part but when submitting drug screens, it would be nice if there were some kind of confirmation that it was sent.
I feel like more tools for recovery could also be added to the app.Show lessamylgriffith
What a joke
Groups Recovery was awesome until I was to send in a confirmation test !! And I done that only for them to say that it was negative for suboxone but positive for subutex. Which IS A BIG LIE!! I was discharged due to a test that was what the staff called definitive !! That’s a joke. I took my medication as prescribed and no more no less and they wanna come at me with that crap. It seems to me that I was just tossed aside and lied to about my test results to thin out they’re patient load or something!!! I was left without medicine and death was and is my next option ! So thanks Groups Recovery. And if anyone is wanting to join best Make sure u see those test results !! Just sad. Very very sadShow lesssandrasheffield837
Works when it wants to work..
Didn’t get off to a good start. I had problems logging in, and it would just kick me off completely. I also had problems with it freezing while having full Wi-Fi signal. I’m not so fond of the care plan set-up. It’s extremely confusing when you’re trying to fill them out, making it difficult to complete without help. I enjoy Groups, and I’ll keep doing the meetings as long as I can. I just wished the app was a little further in development.Show lessBlondifocks
Disappointed! Basic.
2 stars bc there’s nothing to it. Your weekly group video chat, where u upload images, a care plan that tends to lock the app and ur account info. Nothing else. I was hoping for a user friendly app to utilize during recovery. Maybe a classroom filled with info, a daily counter & calendar keeping track of sober days or setbacks. Or a journal for notes, reminders or appts. A messaging tab for contacting other group members, counselors or administrators. The potential to be utilized w/in this app is immense! Helpful to staff as well as us. I expected more, considering the hype it was given. It was a let down to discover it only did basic functions! Hopefully the app can take off, grow and expand with Groups, becoming more of a tool we can utilize throughout recovery. ✊🏼Show lessRecoveryRenzy

I would like to download this app but I can’t because my iPhone 6 Plus has the last iOS update on it now and it’s iOS 12 and won’t go any higher I wished it would but it won’tKelnbecky

The app is getting worse over time.
It seems like the app is getting worse with each update. 3 months ago the app was working fine and I had zero issues, but now I am having problems left and right, but mostly with the Care Plan. I am unable to complete my care plan because anytime I hit “keep this goal on my Care Plan” the app closes. Please fix this! ThanksShow lessDkraziek

I was able to make a screen name and a password however when I got to the Hyppa consent I cannot scroll down on anything that I use can you please help me so that I can get some helpJenn from block
App voice functionality
I’m unable to unmute myself if I choose internet voice. I can only speak if connect to the call through a phone number. Other than that the app works well, no random disconnects so far.JamesHarri13
