Welcome to TeXable, where TeX is made easy. TeXable makes writing LaTeX more efficient by introducing intuitive GUI components to replace boilerplate code, allowing the user to go straight to the content.
TeXable comes with a text editor that has syntax highlighting, autocompletion based on the packages you’ve added, search and replace, and more. It compiles LaTeX locally using PDFLaTeX, allowing you to compile swiftly and get instant feedback. The TeXLive distribution is downloaded as an on-demand-resource after the app is installed for a smoother experience. It is quite large, at around ~760MB.
TeXable has four main GUI components that allow you to expedite writing TeX: the Equation Editor, the Figure Inserter, the Matrix Maker, and the Table Generator.
The Equation Editor is our answer to one of the common problems when writing a large TeX document - having to compile the entire document just to make a small update in one of your equations. Preview your equations separately in the Equation Editor, allowing you to save time by compiling a single equation rather than the entire document. Once you're sure you've written the right equation, add it into your original document.
The Figure Inserter allows you to create complex figures with a simple GUI. The changes you make in the GUI are automatically processed in real-time to generate TeX, which is auto-compiled to preview the output figure. The GUI allows you to easily choose the number of subfigures and add captions and labels. It allows you to import images from your camera, device, iCloud, and more. It also allows you to simply draw your own images with your fingers, or Apple Pencil if you have one, and then import them directly into your project. These drawings can later be modified to create other drawings or update existing ones.
The Matrix maker and Table Generator allow you to avoid writing cumbersome boilerplate code for tables and matrices. You can select the dimensions of a matrix or table, change its values rapidly, apply styling, and the GUI will generate the TeX for you, allowing you to preview and copy it into your document.
After you’re satisfied with your work, you can export your project to Google Drive, iCloud Drive, other apps, or send them to others through email or messaging.
You can import existing projects into the app in the form of a .zip file.
TeXable saves your files in your iCloud drive if available, meaning that you won’t lose your work if you delete the app and re-download.
Subscription pricing and terms:
TeXable offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $3.99/month. TeXable also offers a lifetime subscription for $19.99, which is paid for by a one-off upfront payment with unlimited access to TeXable forever.

p.s. Shout out to our friend Ben Strekha for coming up with the original idea and helping us extensively in our development. He advised us on a lot of our design choices and helped with debugging and making sure that the app works as intended. Without his passion and help, the project wouldn’t have started nor reached its conclusion. Thanks Ben!
