Price History of Fonté Coffee

Description of Fonté Coffee

FONTÉ's story begins in 1992 in the Pacific Northwest coffee capital of the world — Seattle, WA. It was here that founder and owner Paul Odom followed his passion and started Fonté Coffee Roaster. Our name is Italian for source. We help coffee lovers brew the freshest cup of coffee. HAND ROASTED. While serviceable methods of digital control exist for the roasting of coffee and offer attractive production efficiency, they have yet to demonstrate the ability to react to the nuances of varying coffee condition and character. Fonté achieves higher standards by hand roasting every batch. We take pride in roasting our specialty beans—not light, medium, or dark—but to the fullest flavor profile and expression. FRESH ROASTED. Recognizing that coffee beans are perishable, we developed a signature roast program where Fonté ships freshly roasted coffee sealed in packaging with one-way freshness valves to ensure top quality at delivery. UPTOWN ESPRESSO was established in Seattle in 1984 at the bottom of historic and swanky Queen Anne Hill. A pioneer in the emerging Seattle coffee scene, Uptown soon built an avid following of discerning coffee drinkers who discovered a remarkable experience. An experience made possible by expert baristas, a proprietary coffee roast, hand-made bakery treats, a cool and comfortable atmosphere, and something called Velvet Foam. After Dow Lucurell’s passing last July 2018, Paul Odom — Fonté Coffee Roaster owner — acquired Uptown Espresso. Today, with 6 locations throughout Seattle, Uptown Espresso continues a devotion that includes an attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • User experience is not taken into account

First, you need to download the app to order a coffee. This will require a profile setup and also adding your payment info. A few suggestions: make it webapp or a web page that doesn’t require install. Second, credit card scanner didn’t work for me so I had to enter the info manually. Would be great to integrate with ApplePay - this would save time. Lastly, i first put something in a cart and then I wasn’t able to proceed because some info was missing. Be upfront about all the steps the customer need to perform so they don’t have to repeat / do the same steps again. Lastly, they don’t send text notifications when the order is done, you need to check the app to verify.
  • Very basic

Basic app, points don’t accumulate properly, can’t save favorites. Only thing good about it is the ability to order ahead.
  • No longer works

Too bad, it was convenient for the time I used it. Now I get a payment processing error.
