UI sometimes too simple, no hashtag options
The UI is nice and simple, but sometimes a bit too simple (posts with CW or hidden portions can benefit from a bit more visual distinction/elements). There is no option to long press a hashtag from the timeline and follow/mute/etc, which was the dealbreaker for me since the Mastodon experience relies heavily on hashtags.Show lessSimple yet advanced
I’ve been bouncing among Mastodon clients but ultimately settled on this one. The interface is very intuitive and simple. But don’t be fooled, it has full access to ever advanced feature. Easy browsing of your home feed, local and federated feeds, even special trending section. Look and feel is very natural and twitter like. Says it’s designed with Chinese users in mind, but I’m not Chinese and I still love it. Well thought out, well designed. I keep exploring other free clients but this is the consistently the best. I’m sure paid options might be even better but trust me, among fully free offerings, this is the best.Show lessLong term user, like the app very much BUT…
The last three updates going back two months have not included the reason for the update. And it literally says here in the apple store: “this updated version includes: __________ “ nothing. Not even a more button as a tease. I’d like some transparency. That used to exist here. I don’t know what’s happening now, and if it’s just sloppiness… I find that concerning. I hope there’s not sloppiness in regard to security.
Just changing— I hope temporarily— my review to a 3 ⭐️ from 5 ⭐️ due to this issue around a lack of update transparency without explanation.Show less
