Great news - short and to the point
I find it better to read short “one - liners” rather than long articles that often cloud the main issues.
Just put news on about the illegal immigration (out of control) into the Uk too, everyone should hear about it!

News about the news
Crux provides a live update of the stories that make the news, often before they hit the feeds from the main news sources. I like news items and Crux fills a gap.
Highly Recommend!
Great for keeping up with the main news plus interesting snippets without spending too long doing so, as the articles are compact but one has the choice to read a longer version. Plus one can share most with social media.
Slow!
While recovering from breaking my neck trying to read Crux news in landscape on my iPad, I wrote a few thoughts:
It’s a very, very slow way to read news as each snippet plus huge picture takes a full page. With most other news apps I can see many snippets at a glance and select the most interesting ones.
Are the pictures “real” or just stock ones related to the topics’ theme? How can we know?
Some instructions would be nice. E.g. swipe up for the next snippet.
I don’t want to wait for a AI to learn my preferences by trial and error? If it was clever enough to ask me, I’d tell it what they are.

A précis of breaking news. It’s fast!
I have been using Crux for quite some time now. Long enough to have noticed that crux often breaks a story faster than other news providers.
Breaking news is presented in the app as a short précis (60 words) which is a perfect way of deciding whether the news is relevant and worth further investigation or whether it is something that can be ignored.
The app pairs nicely with smart watches which is very useful where it is not easy to use a phone.
Wholeheartedly recommended.

Little disappointed
Not sure what I expected but needed to GWR away from the others as so biased . This is ok but very u stable and constantly crashes and I have just deleted the app again .. it’s an ok news Channel but not quite a good and not as I hoped . The news is sometimes 12 hours or more behind the main news .
Some of the stories border on silliness . I have just read one story of a woman who had to stay up all night because her door
Lock was
Broken .? This isn’t even local news so deleting the app

My new fav app
I hate google and Apple news a d was searching around for something decent when I found Crux. I love it! Quick news bites from all around the world in a multitude of topics that I can easily scan and if I want to read more I just tap! How have I ever gone without this!?
Brilliant!
Since getting this app I don’t use the major ones. You don’t need to read pages and pages of information on one article. Sums it all up for you in a few paragraphs. However if you want to read more you just click on the black strap line at the bottom of the article. There not all major news stories either. A nice mixture of different news you wouldn’t really see unless you read the newspapers. Throughly recommend this app. Well done to the developers!

Alright apart from an irritating terminology fail
Generally speaking I’m finding this app helps be keep abreast of the news. Though I do get too many notifications so I’m increasingly ignoring the items coming through.
But one thing that is really *bugging me* is the use of the word “surging”. The app gives daily UK COVID summaries. And twice (that I’ve noticed) it has used the word surging to describe the rise in COVID related deaths when the number of deaths has been around 5 or 6. Since the number of deaths already stood at ~127,000 an increase of 5 or 6 is not a surge. Please tone down the inappropriate descriptor. Thank you in advance.

Now the bug seems to be fixed........
Now that the annoying bug which meant the app kept on stopping seems to have been fixed, Crux is a very good of keeping up with the news which may not be big enough to make the main headlines.
Suggest you give it a try.
