This is really cool.

This is a really cool idea. The developer has spent a lot of time fleshing it out. The dedication shows through the controls and settings. It’s almost perfect. The one thing that I wish was expanded upon is the chord progression tab. I wish there were more chords to chose from. Like 7ths and 9ths. Also how do I set the key to a minor scale? It’s almost perfect but unfortunately I cannot use this tool to aid me in songwriting until I can select different kinds of chords!

Thank you for your review! I’m adding 7ths and 9ths in the next release, great idea! Hopefully this will help you in your work! Major/minor chords can’t be forced as of now. The algorithm decides itself what is the best option. I’ll think about it if I’m able to change this behavior. Thanks again and have fun with Beatly!

Very useful for getting things started.

I’ve just bought this after seeing Doug Woods demo it on his YouTube channel The Soundtest Room. It’s an easy app to understand which is a good thing, and I’ve used it in AUM as it’s Inter App Audio, and standalone as well. It’s opened up some interesting possibilities as it can control other synths and has Ableton link. It’s a doddle to use in AUM and a no brainier. Just buy it as it doesn’t cost much more than an overpriced posh coffee, which is something I don’t drink.😎

Cool app

Useful for backing tracks and looping. Unlike other AI generated music this actually has character and sounds good. Couple of problems though. Icons are often too small to access easily on an iPhone. I can’t find a way to change the instruments on any track except for strings/orchestra. It would be helpful if there were an easier and faster way to change the bar numbers at the top. Also I discovered a serious glitch: out of nowhere, xylophone seems to have taken over and sounds on all the tracks even when they are muted

Love this app!

This is such a fun and useful app, you can create an abundance of very useful generated loops/beats. I highly recommend checking out this app. I really enjoy what Beatly Pro can do…

Feedback

I love the app, but there is one thing missing. Could you please add a midi batch exporter to it, so we all don’t waste time doing them one at a time. I might just want to go through a lot of beats at one time and then upload them all at once. I think it would save me and other’s a lot of time, something we all may not have. I hope you can get this for your next update. On that note I thank you for your efforts and be safe.

Fantastic app!

Beatly Pro is super fun and easy to use. It’s. Great way to generate ideas that you can expand into full songs or just jam and have some fun. The dev is super responsive and helpful as well.

Stuck Piano Roll Window

Love the updates to Beatly Pro - Cinematic mode? Wow! Such a cool app!

Now, all I need is someone to tell me how to get back into the Main Interface from the Piano Roll. I can see it peeking out at the bottom of the Piano Roll but can’t budge the window (sigh).

Thank you so much for your review! The piano roll can be dismissed the same way it was opened - by tapping the instrument icon at the bottom of the screen. You need to tap the same instrument that’s currently displayed.

Generative joy-bringer!

Lots of possibilities with this innovative little app, and improving with each iteration. Good to see AudioBus and Ableton Link support, which makes it much more user friendly when part of an AUM session. What it really needs to complete the package is midi out and AU3 connectivity.

Yes this app is super fun and more importantly, useful. Solid work dev. Seems as if you’re updating frequently and that’s freakin great. Thanks for the work put in. Maybe you could add a learn function in the future and if LINK is possible this would be incredibly useful. Killer and inspiring app to mess with. Thanks for it.
