  • Fun for amateur use, but not for the serious collector.

Downloaded the app and was excited about the features. This included the ability to see my collection at a glance, share with friends, and grade using photos of actual coins. This program is great for onesies and filling the amateur book. The down side is that coins can be deleted too easily from the main menu. If you accidentally tap a coin you have, it deletes any information of a coin you have recorded (even photos taken). I got frustrated after documenting a 1955D in three different grades, then tapped on the coin and lost all the information. The grading is a cool feature, but it can be inconsistent or grade incorrectly on a regular basis. There is a disclaimer that you should have coins formally appraised. The foreign coins are fun, but I found a number of photos inconsistent with the actual coins. Sharing your collection with friends is also not working. There is a review that states that both parties have to have the premium (paid) version, but I didn’t see this in the description and the developer hasn’t answered my email. I really like the response to reviews and hope to see some of these features improve. The concept is amazing and well thought out. I did buy the lifetime version at 30% off and enjoy the grading and values. It’s worth the price, but hope to see some improvements.*** 11/21/2022 The developer responded and I’m really impressed with the customer service from my and other reviews. I highly recommend this application for anyone wanting to digitally document and enjoy your collection!

  • Solid application yet sort of overly priced

I’d understand & respect the subscription cost if the grading was more legitimate & less of a toss up that essentially equates to doing the same thing you can do yourself by comparing pictures from PCGS or Greysheet to your own coins and go from there. If it actually had accurate readings then 48.99/yr wouldn’t seem so unlucky of a price point.
If one were to simply download PCGS Registry & do the same thing they do with this app, they’d have the same inventory catalog to add your collection to and from there as far as the grading prices go — if one were to simply download PCGS Coin Facts/Greysheet & go to Current Market Reports, there’s spreadsheets that list all the grades at the top of the chart, the coins to the far left & all the prices in the corresponding columns as well as which ones are rising or dropping in value at that moment in time* thus one could easily circumvent the 48.99/yr subscription cost in exchange for a minute or two of cross-referencing which wouldn’t be a waste of time to any degree since not only would you learn more about the coins you have but you’d actually end up having a better & more precise idea as to how much your coins are truly worth. My apologies for the lengthy review, it just seems silly to me when with everything I mentioned above can do what this app does and all of those apps are completely free. Basically what I’m getting at is the only niche thing this app has that differs from any of the free* apps I mentioned is that it ‘grades’ the coins for you but when the grading itself isn’t anything to make much of due to how inaccurate it is seeing as how many factors are involved when grading a coin on top of how the picture was taken/lighting/etc. (which is why the actual coin grading companies apps don’t have such options) then what are you really paying for other than a gimmicky sort of ‘it’s so easy to use! it’ll get your hopes up! we know your lazy so we do it for you!’ I’d pay 18.99/yr for that but not 48.99/yr.

  • Lucky Coins

    Great app
  • Good starter App

Has a nice feature to take a picture of the coin and estimate the grading of the coin. This feature seems to over estimate the quality of the coins giving you a false high value.

Second this app only provides pricing on American coins, with no additional detail on each special defect. It would be nice to provide example pictures to aid in identification. Will have to buy a different app for coins outside of America.

Thanks for leaving review and for leaving us feedback. We will continue to improve our grading algorithm to work even better. Pricing is actually available for Canadian coins as well, and there are plans to add other countries suck as the United Kingdom and Euro coins. We hope this helps and please email us with any other concerns!
  • Great App.

Great app I’ve used other programs for coin organization and this app is much easier and user friendly.Enjoying the up grades.
  • Wow!

Great looking UI with lots of features. Finding a good quality and reliable coin collecting app is so hard to find for my kids. I’m going to try Lucky Coin for a while and then decide on a lifetime subscription. My initial response is that it’s going to be pretty good. Could have maybe come up with a better app name and icon, but that’s not that important.
