Price History of Backgammon+

Description of Backgammon+

It's just a well-known Backgammon game: everything you need to play and nothing more: • a simple and nice interface • play alone, with a friend or online • works offline without internet • wooden board and atmosphere • both vertical and horizontal board orientations are supported • the Doubling cube with the Crawford rule. The dice are thrown randomly and do not depend on who is playing, AI level and board conditions. -> WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT BACKGAMMON? Backgammon is one of the oldest board games, dating back about 5,000 years. Now the game is popular worldwide. Playing backgammon requires strategy, tactics and luck. With each roll of the dice, players choose from a variety of options to move the checkers, and must anticipate their opponents’ possible counter-moves. In one game, luck in rolling the dice can be critical, but in a series of games, skill is critical to win. -> HOW TO PLAY Each player has 15 checkers of a different color that move in opposite directions counting the points according to the numbers rolled by a pair of dice. The player first to get his checkers around, and then off the board, wins the game. --- We value your feedback. Send any questions or feedback to us at contact@adikus.com

Reviews of Backgammon+

Predictable bias

Edit: the worst thing you can do is beat this game at the Hard level. It will mercilessly cheat for several games afterwards. Now read on ….

I love a good Backgammon game. This has all the makings of being just that. Except the die rolling is ridiculously biased.

There is no “skill level”. Easy, Medium and Hard are just the amount of cheating the die rolls that favour the CPU player.

Want to see for yourself? Start a game on Medium and instantly double the stakes with the Doubling Die. You cannot win. You can get into a favourable position, but the die takes over, even the most diligent player staying safe will be forced to leave a piece exposed, and boom it’s gone.

Before you know it the opponent has locked out the landing area and you are stuck on bar for 8, 10, even more consecutive rolls.

Even if a lane is opened, don’t be foolish enough to think you will get that number up on a die.

It’s fun, but I’ve lost patience with a game that blatantly cheats.

Hard? Hahaha. Forget about it. I’ve won once in about 10 attempts before I gave up.

Backgammon anyone?

Want to test your luck? Give the backgammon app a shot. Want to push your luck? Include the doubling cube and max out on levels. Good luck with that! Game on!
