iFly Sikorsky v3.1 offers numerous enhancements. Users are able to import flight routes from third-party flight planning systems that support routes with “.fpl” file extensions. This allows the users to import flight routes and apply iFly Sikorsky performance calculations to determine time enroute, fuel required, and available payload. Users are also able to import custom waypoint databases that are provided in “.kml” file formats. The new Map page allows the user to visualize the planed flight path. The new Route page allows the user to create, save, and manage multiple routes. The new Database page allows the user to create, save, and manage multiple waypoints. The user can create custom Helipads entering cues for the preferred approach and departure paths and highlight sectors containing obstacles. These features support the new Offshore Approach (OSAP) visualization tool and Helicopter Flight Path Tool (HFPT). iFly Sikorsky v3.1 also offers a first generation Risk Management Tool. For the first time, Sikorsky is offering an iFly Sikorsky user’s manual available on Sikorsky360. Finally, this version of the application addresses many know bugs.
