Even though you have to attest in the app that you’re available on that shift, LABR does not guarantee it to you even after you’re hired for it! They will bump you off a job after they hire you for it. I had a week of work lined up in the app and after the first day on the job (which went great) they bumped me off the list and said the client requested fewer people the next day. And I know it wasn’t my job performance because both times the supervisor specifically came to me and said they approved of my work and wanted me to come back. The second time the Forman TOLD ME TO COME BACK but LABR told me not to.
If LABR wants workers to lock in a workday, they should guarantee that day to the gig worker. I lined up and prepaid childcare that I am now out. LABR is now costing me money! Great idea but it’s not worth it unless they guarantee you a shift after they’ve been hired. They shouldn’t allow their clients to change the amount of workers after they’ve already requested it.
