Description of The Next Trail

The Next Trail was developed for Snowmobilers and Off-Road enthusiasts by an avid snowmobiler. The app allows you to see where you are on Outdoor Trails. View trails and routes, ride areas, points of interest and local events. Currently we have robust data for Snowmobiling and ATV/UTV trails – with new data being added regularly. Get current, relevant information! The Next Trail is working with many local clubs. The clubs have the ability to post new events, update trail closures/openings and provide on screen information on local businesses and amenities. The Next Trail uses several sources for trail data. 1) Map Images are digital versions of the paper maps commonly used and provided by Snowmobile clubs. 2) Trails provide more detailed trail data. This data is provided by States, counties and/or clubs. Trails use GIS (Geographic Information System) which is much more precise than Map Images. 3) Record your own trails which can be backed up to cloud storage (included in the subscription) thus preserving your trails even if a phone is lost/replaced. All the maps/trails are downloadable and should be downloaded when internet service is available. While riding, no internet is needed, the app will use your phones GPS to precisely display your position. A current list of data available can be viewed on our web site – www.thenexttrail.com and updates will be tracked on our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/thenexttrail. Ride On! The Next Trail.

Reviews of The Next Trail

  • Must have app

This app is so amazing it’s like I have the paper map in my hand while riding. With the turn by turn and recording it’s making finding new trails you tend to forgot to mark down a breeze to look back on. I cannot thank you enough for developing this!!
  • Good App

This app got me downloaded maps up the wazoo to go wherever I wanted. Fricken awesome $10/yr is a steal. Way better than Trailz, at least this one opens.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the kind words, Just submitted routing for iOS finishing up testing routing for android.
  • Excellent, accurate, and simple.

We used Next Trail this weekend in Price, Sawyer, and Rusk Counties of Wisconsin. Pretty impressed with the simplicity and accuracy. One section of the dead horse did not appear on the app but, was on the map which brings me to my next point. I love the map image layer. Nice to view the club maps with my location actively indicated. Well worth the $10.00 I spent. We liked this app better than Polaris Ride Command, OnXoffroad and any others we have used in the past.

    Developer Response

I believe I got all the missing dead horse legs added now. You can always contact us also from the app just go to menu (upper left) and about. There is a link to email support. Thanks for the review.
