The purpose of ScaveGo is to provide a platform where users can register to participate in “scavenger-type” hunts - making hunts an ideal event for people looking to get out and explore the city. Hunts will offer participants points for completing tasks, which are used to claim prizes (“rewards”) such as tickets for local attractions, gift cards from restaurants, or predetermined cash values. Users can claim rewards via the app once they have earned the required amount of points set for the reward they wish to claim. Other hunts will be free for charitable purposes. A couple of examples, museums that want to offer guided tours without having to provide equipment to their visitors or non-profit organizations that wish to host a fundraiser. Users will be required to pay to participate in most hunts however, as mentioned, free hunts will exist for charitable purposes. Prices for paid hunts will vary based on the types and quantity of rewards offered. Payments to participate in hunts will be made using iOS in app purchases. To win prizes, users have to complete specific tasks to earn points. The tasks have varying point values and require a total accumulated value to be achieved to redeem them for available rewards. Tasks to be completed may include answering questions about the city’s history, taking pictures of specific items like “fishing boats unloading at the dock,” and checking in via GPS at various points of interest around the city, including natural or historical landmarks, as well as local businesses. Once a reward is claimed, the reward is stored in their ScaveGo account, and they will have 30 days to redeem the reward at the participating business, if applicable. Rewards, point cost, and available quantity will vary based on the hunt creator (ScaveGo). For example, a hunt may offer slices of pizza for 10 points, a $30 gift card at a restaurant for 50 points, and a grand prize of a free camping trip for 200 points. There may be 100 slices of pizza available, 20 gift cards, and only one camping trip. Each hunt will have its own set of rules and basic conditions, but no hunt will contain gambling.
