Great Resource
Great App for all info in one place
Other platforms do it better
1. Every time the camp director uploads photos a notification is created. Useful to see when there are new photos. However, you have to click each notification in order to clear them. Clunky and outdated.
2. The photos in the gallery are tiny and you can’t zoom in on the app. You must click to download each photo, then it opens in a browser (Amazon cloud storage) and then you can download that photo. There should be batch download or at least zoom capability to see if your kid is in the photo. Clunky and outdated.
3. The $3.99 price point only flies because parents will pay for the only way to see photos of their kids. It’s way too high for the value of what you get in the app. Taking advantage of customers.
4. The app had a bug halfway through my kid’s camp session. New photos didn’t show up, which is basically this app’s one job for our camp. They took over 24 hours to fix it and it still wasn’t fixed, you could only click on the most recent 21 photos. Camp is over and I am still getting emails that Camp Source is trying to fix these issues.
My review really does nothing for parents because we are stuck using this app. I hope that camp directors will see these reviews and decide to use something else. There are tons of better safe and private photo sharing apps—look at what preschools are using, etc. This isn’t it!
Still doesn’t work
Many bugs, needs development
Not user friendly
Response from developer
Thanks for your concern. However, all new pictures go to the top of the album and the album with the newest pictures goes to the top of the list. Unfortunately, if camps do not screen their pictures or have many duplicates we understand it may take longer to shuffle through them. We work with our partner camps regularly to help them as best as possible to make it easier for parents to find pictures of their kids and continue to improve how we manage our picture albums in the app.
