  • Great Resource

My kids camp used this app for the first time this summer and we really liked it. It gave immediate notifications on my phone to changes or happenings. Normally we would have a printed calendar of events or would receive an email so I found this to be more effective and helpful. If a notification popped up from the app I knew it pertained to the kids and I would immediately know what was happening. Not all areas of the app will be for everyone but I found it more resourceful for direct communication. I highly recommend it to schools, camps and parents for seamless access and communication with their children and staff.

  • Great App for all info in one place

I loved how easy it was to use the app and be able to find all info in one place as well as be able to send quick messages to counselors. Having pics and videos on there was a great bonus.
  • Other platforms do it better

I’m going to preface this by saying that my kid’s camp only used the photo gallery feature of this app, so that’s what I’m reviewing.

    1. Every time the camp director uploads photos a notification is created. Useful to see when there are new photos. However, you have to click each notification in order to clear them. Clunky and outdated.

    2. The photos in the gallery are tiny and you can’t zoom in on the app. You must click to download each photo, then it opens in a browser (Amazon cloud storage) and then you can download that photo. There should be batch download or at least zoom capability to see if your kid is in the photo. Clunky and outdated.

    3. The $3.99 price point only flies because parents will pay for the only way to see photos of their kids. It’s way too high for the value of what you get in the app. Taking advantage of customers.

    4. The app had a bug halfway through my kid’s camp session. New photos didn’t show up, which is basically this app’s one job for our camp. They took over 24 hours to fix it and it still wasn’t fixed, you could only click on the most recent 21 photos. Camp is over and I am still getting emails that Camp Source is trying to fix these issues.

My review really does nothing for parents because we are stuck using this app. I hope that camp directors will see these reviews and decide to use something else. There are tons of better safe and private photo sharing apps—look at what preschools are using, etc. This isn’t it!

  • Still doesn’t work

Keeps saying “camp hasn’t posted yet” didn’t update and deleted and redownloaded nothing works camp says they been posting can’t see anything
  • Many bugs, needs development

My daughter’s camp chose this app and I don’t think they got it right. They only used the photo gallery feature so everything else was a blank screen. And the photo galleries are buggy and hard to navigate. If you’re just going to post photos, just use a Google Drive or something more straightforward.

  • Not user friendly

I can really only review based on the photos posted since our camp has not posted anything in the other tabs. The photos tab is not user friendly at all. All photos are dumped into the same group, even when added hours or days apart. Also you cannot easily get to the new photos. The newest photos are added to the end of the group and you need to scroll through ALL of the earlier photos to find them. To zoom in the photo needs to be downloaded. The photos could be grouped by day or upload time and then presented as thumbnails with the ability to select any photo to view. Scrolling is not fun. I’m disappointed in this $4 purchase.

    Developer Response

Thanks for your concern. However, all new pictures go to the top of the album and the album with the newest pictures goes to the top of the list. Unfortunately, if camps do not screen their pictures or have many duplicates we understand it may take longer to shuffle through them. We work with our partner camps regularly to help them as best as possible to make it easier for parents to find pictures of their kids and continue to improve how we manage our picture albums in the app.
  • Pretty sure this is a fake app

After signing in with the credentials sent by email, it forces you to a random site to pay a “subscription fee” before you can log in. It doesn’t even say which camp this is supposedly for. Total joke. Buyer beware.
  • Great app for keeping track of camps

I originally used this app last summer and had a hard time navigating it. But they have made a ton of updates and the user experience is much much better now! It seems it would be so much easier for the camps to just post once here instead of having to send a ton of emails. And as a parent, I love being able to see pictures from the camp easily and having everything in one place, without having to remember where the info is or who sent it. I appreciate that they are taking user feedback and actively working to improve. Looking forward to using it again soon!

  • Great experience with the app!

I used this app last summer for my 6yo’s day camp. I was very happy with the functionality and ease of use. Counselors were able to share information ahead of time to get us ready. Even better, the developers reached out for input which is great customer service.
  • Keep Parent Informed While Kids are at Camp

This app is great! It keeps all Camp information in one central spot. I hate digging through emails to try to find information about my daughter’s camp. This app gives all the information you need in one central and convenient place. It’s great to see pictures from Camp during the day to see what the kids are doing. Recommend the app 100% and with the new changes they are making it will only get better!
