This application is for the medical field and is aimed more particularly at medical students. It represents a bank of information revised by doctors on the physical examination and the medical interview according to different pathologies. The application synthesizes the elements, signs and symptoms found on the questionnaire and on the physical examination for more than 400 pathologies and groups together the pathologies most frequently seen in the clinic. A drop-down list allows you to select the desired system (cardiology, gastroenterology, etc.) then giving access to the pathologies relating to the chosen system. The important elements of the medical questionnaire and the physical examination can also be accompanied by video links, photos, important information to remember about certain pathologies as well as additional information (sequence of physical examinations, medical note, questionnaire according to a reason for consultation, etc.). The application is built in a user-friendly manner and is easy to use to allow quick access to the information you are looking for.
The Clinical Skills Development Group is a university committee made up of about ten medical students from Laval University. The main objective of this is the development and refinement of clinical skills of students through peer teaching. To this end, the GPHC has several tools to its credit, among others, two pocket books, the Small Guide to Clinical Skills and the Small Guide to Medical Interviewing, which were written by students and reviewed by physicians. . These two books represent the gold standard for medical students wishing to study and practice for their Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE). The content of the application is inspired by these two small guides. Finally, the application is part of an innovation and sustainable development initiative in addition to representing the continuum of the two GPHC works. It also makes it possible to meet a need repeated many times by students, namely that of having access to the content of books both at home and in hospitals. This application is a concrete and reliable resource for any student wishing to facilitate his study or obtain a portrait of the findings found in the various pathologies. The tools put in place by the GPHC are essential for medical students across Quebec from pre-externship to residency, just like this application is.
