Not what it says

This app is garbage.. Do not down load waist of time .

Great learning / practicing tool

Does not work on current iPad OS 17. Works fine on iphone, but not on ipad, and where the space bar does not register when it is pressed, but nulls the next action, which would be the pressing of the current letter being practiced, and which locks up and takes one out of the moment of practicing. Its like at that moment the space bar had been mapped for something else. Very annoying and frustrating, as practicing typing is easier on the ipad than iphone due to the size. Otherwise, fsntastic learning and practicing tool, and which I have had and used on my Mac for years to brush up on my practice. Needs to be fixed on iPad and then I will give it its deserved full 5 stars.

Great learning tool

Does not work on current iPad OS 17. Very good learning and practicing tool though, and have used it on and off for years, brushing up on my practice, on my Mac and iPhone. Needs to be fixed and then will give 5 stars.

Good app with irritating flaws

Overall, this is a good app for brushing up your typing skills. Works well on an iPad with Magic Keyboard.

But, there are no options to set the “strictness” of the app. For example, somewhere around module T15, if you type a ~200 character drill and get a SINGLE error, you have no choice but to repeat the entire drill. This leads to a loss of interest for the student.

Other programs I’ve used (think Beacon) sense when you miss the same key several times and lead you to another lesson or drill that focuses on the problem keys (which IMO, is the correct way to instruct).

Forcing me to repeat identical drills two or three times due to a “horrible” accuracy rate of 99.5% is lazy programming. You would think that the goal of teaching is to engage the student without creating frustration and boredom.

It’s a free app though. Hard to beat that.
