I started this app, and after being bombarded by ads, I bought the no ad option. Only to find that the app itself was nearly useless for learning this system! Younger futhark can change by context, there was zero anglo-saxon futhorc, and there were no IPA transcriptions.athenaevm

App so-so
I bought this app hoping that it would teach me about reading runes but the controls seem awkward. There is no clear definition as to what they do. I take it that there are younger and elder furthic runes and others but there is no way to make a clear distinction. I would have liked to have seem a link between the symbols and pronunciation. Maybe even a rudimentary dictionary. The home page is pretty but what it has in flash it lacks in substance. For the most part I wasted $2.99. I think a person who wants to study these purely on an academic level would be better off referring to Wikipedia or Omniglot.Ontman
