People talking about being queer while my 6 year old watched a video on the USA Capitals. How does that even happen? I loved this app but now they’re hiding stuff like this behind educational videos. So disappointed.Ana Demi

Additionally - So parents are always in control of their child's viewing experience, Sensical has a content filtering feature that parents can use to block series or videos. I have never heard of Sensical, but am trying to be more proactive on shielding my kids from certain shows/movies/content. I stumbled upon this yesterday and immediately downloaded the app. My kids aren’t home, so I was trying to get the lay of the land and check out what is available on each of their profiles, BUT every time I click through n the icon for their profile, I get kicked off. Whatever update just took place please undo it or fix the bugs. My kids love this app we used it every night and stream the live channel from our smart TV regularly but now they are unable to get the shows the enjoy. Thomas is no longer listed and I can’t get anything to steam now since the app updated. Help!!!!! We loved this app up until now!Show lessAbahegwkdhebd

I very much enjoy the concept of Sensical and it has proved to be quite educational for my child. He loves the different videos that are available. One thing I enjoyed about the service for the longest time was that it didn’t have any third-party advertisements. Any ad breaks there were only served to promote other shows that were available on the Sensical service. I had no problem with that. Recently I’ve noticed there are now advertisements for Barbie products and Toyota vehicles (aka third-party advertisements). I would very much like a paid option for Sensical to remove this type of content.Show lessBrandon Benenati

Use this for my almost three year old and thought it was a safe app, but when watching the show “Maya the Bee” realized they left an unedited episode with an inappropriate drawing. Netflix removed this temporarily in 2017, so it isn’t news. I thought this app was supposed to be safe, but if it can’t even filter things that have already been controversial and removed, I can’t trust it.
We only even started watching Maya the Bee because it was advertised constantly when we were watching Kipper… It’s a shame they didn’t catch that and remove that episode.Show lessTaylor Mullaney

Upon re-reviewing the episode, we were also surprised to see that there was a brief inappropriate sketch. Due to this, the episode has been permanently removed. We hope you and your three year old will continue to use Sensical. We constantly strive to make the service the safest and most age-appropriate for your family. I got the app for my kids because I was so relieved to have an app I could trust my kids to watch videos on, however it crashes every single time my kids click on their profile. The app is decent so far, I really dislike that it says hide content which is a lie . My daughter has autism and it only blocks her from watching but doesn’t hide it like stated . This is a huge trigger because she doesn’t understand why she can see the video but can’t watch it . Really wish the hide content meant it actually hid it and it doesn’t show on the screen AT ALL .Show lesschillbillitsnill

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that our content blocking feature isn’t working as you hoped. This feature is set up this way so that if parents would like to unblock content they previously hid, they are easily able to do so. However, we do understand this concern and are glad you brought it to our attention. We will share your thoughts with our product team to see if there are ways to update this feature! A short term solution is to curate shows and videos using our "Favorites" feature. Once you have selected your preferred shows and videos, you can quickly tap or click on the Favorites icon on the navigation bar as our Home Page loads. We hope this provides a temporary fix while we elevate your concern.Cursing and there needs to be a search bar.
So, I’m 9 right now. And I just want to say that there has been some cursing in the “Learn these TikTok dances” because in the songs there were cursing in “The Box” song. So that’s why I rate it a 4. Also everybody has been saying it and I agree. There should be a search bar! Also you really need to upgrade the Leah Ashe channel. Because it’s only showing her old vids, and I need the channel “iamSanna”. So yeah, pls add a search bar and remove the video “Learn these TikTok dances” and add a search ball and pls add “iamSanna” channel. This video has passed our rigorous review for age appropriateness in the age group selected. We do take your feedback seriously so we asked our reviewers to reconsider their selection. After further review, we have decided to remove the episode from our service. Thank you again for flagging your concern. Regarding your suggestion about adding a search function, we agree! This is on our product roadmap. In the meantime, you can find an alphabetical listing of our shows in the "Explore" tab on our app. And, we have passed along your request for more Leah Ashe episodes.
