Not proofread by Korean
My student asked me if this app is good for studying Korean. I skimmed through it and found that there were a lot of mistranslation. As a translator, I see these mistakes a lot when the budget they pay for proofreader is extremely low or they just use the AI tools. But I think the language apps should invest more for the language itself than anything else because students will study with wrong translation.Developer Response
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We really appreciate your insight and completely understand your concerns about the accuracy of translations in our app. To give you some context, our team ensures that the translations and definitions on the cards are done by humans (dictionary), but the example translations are generated by AI. We know this isn't perfect, and improving these translations is at the top of our list as soon as we can secure more funding. We're a tiny team with big goals, and we're working hard to get there. If you spot any mistakes, you can report them by clicking the three-dot menu on the card and selecting "Report issues." You can also turn off the automated translations by going to Settings > Card Display > Translate example. Thanks again for your support and understanding as we work to improve.LOVE IT!!!
I love this app, it doesn't crash for me. At the very beginning it didn't save my progress but it hasn't happened again! I wish the songs had a lyric section when you could read all of the lyrics and maybe tap on words you don't know? It's a little hard to watch and just swipe through cards. Otherwise I absolutely love this app I use it daily. Very easy to use for both free and paid learning!Amazing App. Doesn't crash for me.
I love the paced repetition and how there are so many vocab sets. I also love the different quiz types but for the listening one I would like to use my keyboard alongside the prompted words. Overall I love it. 😄❤❤
