High hopes but awful execution

This app has a fatal flaw… if someone picks up a rock and records it in the app but neglects to “release” it in the app, then anyone who subsequently finds it is unable to even locate it in the app because it’s still showing as being in someone’s collection. The app becomes completely useless at that point. This has happened to a majority of the rocks I’ve placed in the app. Contacted support and had a very long and ongoing conversation about this issue, and they eventually made it clear that they have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION TO FIX IT. Had high hopes for this app but it turns out to be completely worthless unless they work out this issue that they’ve expressed zero interest in fixing.

Useless in Atlanta

I hate that I have to create an account and log in just to find out there’s nothing within 100 miles from me. Now I have my info attached with yet another product that I won’t ever use.

Great

The reason that this app did not get five stars is that there are not many rocks to find, and it is easy for a rock, to be mistaken for a public rock, and then be taken

Cool app

I paint rocks all the time, and I like an app where I can track where my rocks go and I like how there is no other app like it. I like the app because I don’t have to join a bunch of Facebook groups when I go to a new town to visit. Thanks for making this cool app.

Rock app

So I got this because I love to paint rocks and drop them off for others to find. I call it rock art abandonment. But sometimes I would love to see where my rock end up. It would be nice for people to be able to report their finds. But when you type rocks art into your web browser it forces you to download the app or the page forwards you to a blank page. So really this app will not allow finds to be recorded unless you have the app. And not everyone wants another app on their phone. I wish the developers would make the codes more non app user friendly. I am honestly ready to uninstall this app. And go back to using my Facebook group instead.

Great app to track my rock’s adventures!

I finally have a place to see reactions to my rocks! I enjoy painting and hiding Kindness Rocks for others to find. I’ve done it for years and always had to hope they would join the Facebook group I created.
This is a much easier UNIVERSAL way for me to see reactions and follow my rocks. It’s odd to live vicariously through an inanimate object but your app will allow me to do that now. Thank you! I am telling all my friends and all the Facebook rock groups!

The perfect addition to my painted rocks addiction!

I finally have a way to track all of my painted rocks in one place! I can’t wait to keep adding them all the the map in my area!

Treasure Hunting

This app was a lot of fun to play with. It’s great for family walks and all types of adventures.

Where was this when I was a child?

I grew up on an island, and at the time, there weren’t nearly as many toys to play with as kids have today. So, instead of toys, Mom found fun art and craft projects to do. Needless to say, painting rocks was one of them! Rocks are a great canvas as they’re small and kids can get instant gratification painting them. I wish there was an app like this so I could keep track of all the rocks I painted and hid over the years… Maybe this is a sign to start up that hobby again. It would be super cool if a rock I painted eventually ended up back home!

Like Geocaching, but with painted rocks!

I only recently came across this whole Painted/Kindness Rocks concept and loved that there’s a new app that makes them easier to find near me. It’s pretty cool to be able to track activity on your rocks! I can see when people have found rocks I’ve painted and hidden. Sometimes they’ll even hide them in a new location so I can follow their journey around the world! Excited to see more rocks appear on the map as the app gets more popular! Rock on 🤘
