Does not work unless connected to Wi-Fi
Used to work, but tried uninstalling and reinstalling and app will not load unless I am connected to Wi-Fi. Stays stuck on opening splash screen.Great app. Saves loads of time. Quick response from city.
I’ve used this so many times and turnaround is amazing. This app is fantastic and I encourage others to use it for the 311 feature alone. What is the problem you are reporting. Select the category. Take a pic of problem as directed by instructions. Add location (or choose your location). Add any description. That’s it! And the details are saved so you can go back and follow up if it doesn’t get “closed”. Santa Monica is way ahead of so many other cities.Needs a lot of fixes
On a rare occasion they would respond to requests fairly quickly and send out the correct response fairly quickly. Other times they literally take months (2-4 months or more) to get a response from them. Even calling them is a hit or miss situation.
One solution is to implement a similar system to NYC in some areas. Such as pickup’s, construction violations, parking violations, and similar. Let people take appropriate amount of pictures and/or videos of this stuff and send it in. If it’s a valid violation then the person who committed the violation will be ticketed. Maybe offer a few bucks per violation. This is because I’ve seen (and others too) so many construction and parking violations that either gets passed up, ignored, or the certain departments take way too long to respond and then the violation disappears. This solution could make the city a substantial amount of money and hopefully makes a difference.
