Nightmare contract
I contacted support to tell them I never used the app and did not wish to renew, and asked them to remove the charge. The lady who helped me was nice enough and said she’d get it taken care of. After not receiving a refund, I contacted support and was told that a refund could not be issued because I didn’t cancel before my renewal date. They claimed that they informed me of the renewal via email ahead of time. I know this is false, because I receive plenty of frivolous emails from Smilefy all the time, they don’t get filtered into my spam folder. I double and triple checked to confirm that I never received such an email, but support wouldn’t budge.
Even if your response to this review is, “oh well, you should have read the fine print”, is this the type of company you want to work with? One that doesn’t care whether their users are satisfied with the software and rely on deception to make their money?
