The OMBE program has revolutionized my surfing. I have been stuck at the same level of low to mid intermediate surfing for decades. Since starting this program, I’ve improved my surfing by leaps and bounds since it clearly points out bad habits that have hampered my progression for years.

Great learning experience

Coach Clayton and the Ombe team offer surf training to fix the most important techniques that typical surf instructors gloss-over. The video lessons breakdown the mismatch between what you see or ‘think’ surfers are doing and your own performance. The simple cues and drills both in and out of water accelerate integration of new patterns.
Surfskate training is the best method I’ve found to habituate speed and flow on water which Ombe integrates througout.

Answer to stagnation
Having taken to surfing in my 30s, any progression has taken a long time and been hard fought.
I have found the biggest challenge to be that mistakes in technique are hard to identify - and even harder to correct.
The ‘ground up’ approach that OMBE takes with all aspect of surfing knowledge and technique is definitely the antidote to stagnation.
