Cheaters and scammers
A couple weeks ago I would have given this game 5 stars. They have made 3 important changes to rig the game… 1. You have to get cards to move up to higher levels. But they never give you the cards you need, only give cards for the characters you aren’t using so it’s almost impossible and takes forever to move up. 2. You have to watch an ad after every round, which was bad enough - you play a 15 second round and then have to watch 2 minutes of ads to continue. But now they have made it much worse because if you click on an ad, even accidentally, it automatically ends the round and you lose all of your points and rewards. 3. WORST OF ALL…. They have now rigged it so that if you win a round, instead of giving you the reward points, IT FREEZES SO THAT YOU HAVE TO CLOSE AND RESTART THE GAME AND YOU LOSE YOUR REWARD!! REALLY MAKES IT KIND OF USELESS TO PLAY AT THIS POINT!!! What started out as a really good game has now become just a platform to play ads and generate money for the company without any concerns about whether people are enjoying the game or not!!!!

Too many ads
I like this game, it's quirky and addictive but there are far too many ads.
There are in game purchases if you want those so the developers can make fast money. Then there are the ads. When you select to view an ad you know what you're being offered for watching it... Which is good, however...
As you progress through the levels and rise up the leaderboard there are upgrades made available to your base. When an upgrade is available you have the option to wait for a period of time or watch a video to speed the process up. The upgrade period gets progressively longer. So as I write this review, I'm up to 11 hours. I now have a choice, I can wait 11 hours for the upgrade to take place or I can watch ELEVEN ads (yes, you did read correctly 11!!!)... So it seems that the developers reward you for playing the game for longer periods by making you watch more, and more ads.
There will come a time that I won't be bothered watching these which will mean they get zero income from me.
Looking at other reviews, I'm not alone on this. Developers, you need to choose between some income and no income. One of these will put food on the table, the other will not. Please consider treating your customers better than you are at the moment.

Lack of coin
It is really fun playing this game but as I’m going forward the coin I gain with winning the battles do not improve as much as the cost of upgrading
I know the game is encouraging us to spend money but it is a big difference and I win tens of battles and not able to upgrade even one mob

Great game, too many ads
I swear the first time I started playing this game there were only ads if I actually wanted rewards. Now it seems no matter the choice, after every battle if I skip the multiplier, I still watch an ad anyway. Simple game design. The more ads you force on players, the less of a player base you’ll have.

Don’t bother
This used to be my favourite game for well over a year. Especially as I travel a lot and had so much downtime without internet. Now you can’t play without internet, every level win is an excessively long ad, and it’s all about upgrading to VIP. I barely ever play now, and after trying again today, it’s going in the trash. Some of the best games have no ads, and I willingly pay for upgrades to support their business. Companies that don’t care how many ads they show you between every match does nothing for me. I want to play a game, not watch ads for longer than I play.

Fun sometimes…
This game could be fun if my game never crashed. The cybertron battles where you battle in each episode are annoying because you battle more than one crowd. And the last one I tried was really hard and in the middle of the last battle, my game crashed. And guess what? I had to start ALL OVER. ALL that work for nothing. I literally wanted to cry and throw my phone across the room lol. Extremely frustrating game to play when this happens and I get turned off each time. Makes me want to never play it again after that last time. I did so much work.
Not only that, I swear during the little tournaments and “episodes” give them every reason to make each level as unfair as possible lol.
I am only on level 33 and my opponent is on level 36. There is absolutely NO reason why I can’t even last the first 15 seconds of the game and had to keep replaying the level at least eight times already.
They’re also coming from three different sides at an alarming rate. Like how? Lol so unrealistic being only three levels ahead. Blatantly unfair gameplay that makes this game a lot less fun to play. It’s sad.

Deceptive in its pay to win style
I felt like I was making solid progress without investing any/much money and then suddenly hit a solid wall where I was put up against significantly stronger players all the while being encouraged to pay money to get my mobs stronger . After being addicted to the game for a fortnight I uninstalled . Frustrating to spend a significant amount of the day to be blocked so hard unless I pay

Really good, I paid to remove ads and once that was done there isn’t a thousand other things they want money for in order to play the game properly which is greatly appreciated. More addictive than I thought it would be! Highly recommend
So much fun at the start
I was surprised how much like the ads this game was. It was totally fun and I could play for hours. I stopped sleeping. I progressed in leaps and bounds. Then I got in one of the top leagues. And more and more bases are ridiculous. They are designed to fail… quickly. You can watch an ad to keep your progress and get back to try again. And you can do this as often as you need. There are constant events to help you progress in different areas by using a determined set of characters, which are usually rubbish and help you to lose making you watch ads to try again. I found I was watching ads far more than I was playing. And a lot of the ads don’t have a mute option (even when you’re on silent) which is annoying when you’re playing on a train or in a food court.
I will say that you aren’t forced to watch an ad after each battle which was a refreshing change. Just to get bonus multipliers or get back to a battle.
So I finally decided to end it and delete my account and game. I look forward to sleeping again.

Ads Only
Update - what idiot decide to add a pop out from the side that says “Gloop gloop” in the middle of a battle and block part of the screen?!? Blocking the screen like that so I couldn’t see the mobs coming literally resulted in losses on numerous occasions. This addition was complete and total idiocy!!!
Update - newest update REQUIRES that you allow internet access for battles so the developer can dump continuous ads at you. I played regularly when that wasn’t the case. I’m deleting it now because of this. Absolutely terrible. If you allow the game to access the Internet, every time you play a game you end up with ads that cannot be dismissed. The only way to end the ad is to quit the app. Just click bait, nothing more. If you turn off the Internet so the game cannot access it, then many of the features of the game do not work. Update: with the most recent update to the app, it crashes much less often. That’s a good thing. However, people were obviously not spending enough money in the app so they added “power-ups” that have to be purchased. They’ve adjusted some of the levels so that it’s impossible to win without a power-up. They also pop-up the purchase request at the beginning of every fight and often in the middle of one. As an added question - why do they need your location data? Turn that off immediately!!! Great job with the latest update. It now freezes at once every 10 minutes or so.
