  • Nudges Feature is Amazing

The nudges feature is life changing when it works! It has SO much flexibility to be able to create a sequence or a schedule where you can have a voice tell you what you are supposed to be doing and how much time is left. The feature has way more flexibility in setting it up than any other app I can find, and it actually looks nice! I can think of infinite uses for this feature and would use it all the time, except that it is sometimes unreliable. Sometimes if I play music or a podcast while it’s running, it will work fine and still announce things, but most of the time it either stops the music entirely or it just stops announcing. I can’t figure out any rhyme or reason. Also, if I create an all day schedule of nudges (like 8 hours with 8+ nudges), it will stop after a few hours. I will be having the most productive day and then suddenly it’s the afternoon, I have lost track of time, and I realize that at some point Startodo stopped announcing things. This unreliability is the one thing that keeps me from getting the pro version. I keep looking for other apps, and none of them compare, so I’m just hoping that one day, this one will be updated to be more reliable!

  • Great until I lost everything

Had multiple lists, working well for some months. In the lead up to a big event (for which my lists were really important) they all just disappeared. :(
  • Customisable nudges & prioritisation

Startodo is exactly what I was looking for and it’s excellently designed! With ADHD I struggle with task complexity and get overwhelmed by the amount of tasks, but this app lets you view only what’s currently pressing, and helps prioritise a tangle of competing tasks. The feature of custom voice nudges is exactly what I need to help stay on track, and it even has a tomato timer function that will run through cycles of working/breaks, without requiring you to press start on the timer each time. It’s simpler to use than you might think, and has a great little tutorial in the form of a to-do list. There are options to purchase the app or subscribe, but even the basic free option has an excellent user experience with no annoyances, which I really appreciate. Highly recommended!

  • Simple & Excellent

Very good tool for planning (A) one's "Destinations" for the day, (itinerary) (B) Items to "Take" on errands, & (C) frequently recurring "Tasks."
  • Awesome

I’ve been looking for a great organising app! This is the best one I’ve ever found. Love it!
  • Great for tracking your priorities

The sync times are lightning fast too :)
  • Still trying it out

Actolist seems to be a relatively easy-to-use task and goal-setting app. Not sure if it syncs to Apple Calendar. Need to use it some more to see if it warrants the rather-pricy one-time purchase fee (no to subscriptions). I like the icons and ability to add photos, links, etc. to each task.
  • Cool app

This app is cool it will help you with your life thank u
  • Poor support.

I inadverdantly added a group instead of a list, and when trying to delete the group I discovered that there was no documentation, and there was no way to delete the group that I no longer wanted. I think the app has a long way to go with respect to documentation and making it easy to navigate. Hopefully this will come with time. At this point I don’t believe that it warrants a significant price tag and renewal fees.

    Developer Response

Thanks for feedback. Please swipe left and tap “Ungroup”. That would delete the group but not the lists in it. We offered that as part of the tutorial in the “Get Started” sample list. We will try to make the guidance even better in the future.
  • If you have attention deficit disorder this is the app you need

    Executive functioning….
Two long words that have a huge impact on the lives of those affected by attention deficit disorder. If you are looking for an application that will help you in your day-to-day life this is the one for you. To put it briefly but on point, don’t waste hours looking through applications trying to find the right one that’s going to help you get things done in a productive manner, with little thought that must go into it. Lucky you you stumbled upon it already. If I were you I would download this today and then take the time to use the examples that are ingrained within the app they are wonderfully helpful.
I want to personally thank the developers for making this. As a mother of four children who has suffered with attention deficit disorder her entire life, Who also has children that have ADHD…. This app has become the answer to many of my prayers thank you thank you so much. ~ Jennifer
