Reviews of BAR Flash Cards

  • Typos

You’d think an app for future attorneys would limit typos… now I can’t trust the substantive material, considering the careless in simple spelling/grammar.
  • 5 stars

This app is great at covering the basic black letter law that will be on the bar exam
  • Too Basic

The flash cards are excellent for basic memorization, particularly for the MEE but are missing too much detail to be reliable for the MBE. Additionally, some of the definitions are cropped off.

    Developer Response

We updated the cropped off portions. We apologize for that, we had difficulty fitting some of the Con law terms into one card as there are a lot of rules/elements. With over 450 cards, the goal is to learn the black letter laws so on exam day you do not waste time on trying to remember all the terms. It may be useful to memorize the terms on the cards, then when you are reading a fact pattern, repeat the black letter law. That way you can see if all the elements are met or not. It makes it easier to mark off if the elements were established so you do not get fooled on tricky fact patterns
