Not accurate

Had to download this app since Live BPM mysteriously disappeared from the AppStore. Thought it would be great initially but the read is off. Compared it to my Live BPM app on my phone and the BPM is off by almost an entire BPM. Live BPM read a song at 115.4 that this app says was 116.2. Too far of a discrepancy for me. Also turn off Shazam so it loads the BPM faster. Will keep looking for a better app

Hey Thanks for trying my app ! The detection issue you encountered has been fixed in the latest version 1.12. You should now get very tight readings. Best, Quentin

Ridiculous app

You get 10 seconds of use for every minute of advert.. in the bin

Need DJ Tap Temp Feature

I need to be able to tap the tempo of the song in my headphones so I can mix into that track.

Works well…too many ads

I needed this app to help me find music for training sessions. It was frustrating to have ads interrupt my music constantly.

Response from developer

Hey ! Thanks for trying my app :) Ads allows me to offer a free version of BPM Detector. If you need to use it more than casually, I recommend that you get the Pro upgrade in-app. It removes all ads ad unlocks a ton of useful features. Best regards, Quentin

Wrong bpm all the time……👎

Response from developer

Hi Mike, Thanks for trying my app. Please make sure to select a bpm range adapted to the music style you are listening to. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to contact me at squatsoft.com so I can investigate and find out what’s wrong. Cheers ! Quentin

Just what I was looking for

This app is as advertised. My son (12yo) is a drummer and I was looking for something he can use to time his BPM to songs to improve his pace and timing without needing someone else to “tap” it for him. This worked perfectly… and to make it even better the developer responded to questions in less than a day on a weekend. Highly appreciate that kind of service. Kudos, great app!!

Inappropriate advertisements

Overseas online gambling platform advertisements.

Response from developer

Hi ! Thanks for your review. I do not chose the ads displayed in the app, those are Google Ads. I’m sorry that they were inappropriate to you, I’ll try to see if I can block this kind of ads.

Would be incredibly useful if not for constant ads

When I first got the app it worked amazing! You’d have an ad every minute or so but you could effectively find your BPM.
I just uninstalled after getting 3 different Uber ad popups (which forced the music to pause and ruin the BPM results), each one starting within 2 seconds of the last one finishing.

Genuinely don’t even waste your time, go find a free tap counter or something and quit giving these guys your downloads. They, like so many others, ruined an actually good product just for a quick buck.

Hello ! Thanks for trying my app! I’m sorry that the ads were too annoying to you. I’m currently working on improving that while still being able to make a « quick buck » and live out of my work. If you can afford it, you can also spend some of your quick bucks to disable all ads and access a ton of other features by getting the Pro upgrade in-app. Best regards, Quentin (yep, « these guys » are really just only me 😅)

SO USEFUL!!

I LOVE this app! So useful. Fellow DJS love it when we’re vibing to a set and I bust this thing out to check the tempo. Love it for myself when I’m feeling another DJ’s set and feel inspired and want to confirm the pulse of the vibe. Thanks Quentin for creating this!
