We provide a way for eligible members to access behavioral and medical services when it’s not easy to find a therapist or physician nearby or when struggling to fit appointments into a busy schedule. Online visits allow you to see licensed providers from the comfort of your own home. Depending on your plan, you’ll be connected to our national network of licensed therapists and/or board-certified physicians who can treat 80+ common medical conditions. Our providers have a wide variety of specialties and some offer their services in multiple languages. IS THIS A SAFE WAY? Yes! You can meet with therapists or physicians through our secure, live video connection through the app designed to be a private, secure, HIPAA-compliant platform using your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES CAN I SPEAK WITH THE SAME THERAPIST? Absolutely, and we encourage you to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with so you can build the trust you need to work through your difficulties. However, if at any time you feel you need to choose another therapist, you can. WHEN CAN I TALK TO A THERAPIST? Many providers have availability for appointments not only during daytime hours, but evenings and weekends too. Once you choose a therapist, you can set an appointment with them directly at a time convenient for you. MEDICAL HEALTH SERVICES WHEN SHOULD I USE VIRTUAL CARE? Telehealth is a convenient way to get care if you’re considering an ER or an urgent care visit for a non-emergency medical issue, your primary care physician is not available, requesting prescriptions or getting refills, traveling and in need of medical care, and/or during or after normal business hours, nights, weekends and holidays. For common or chronic conditions, a virtual care visit can often replace a physician’s office, urgent care, or emergency room visit. WHAT CAN THEY TREAT? Allergies Bronchitis Cold & flu Ear infections Pink eye Respiratory infections Sinus problems Urinary infections WHAT'S THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TIME? The average response time is fifteen minutes. It is important to note that the wait periods are necessary for the physician to read your health information in advance of a consultation. WHO ARE THESE PHYSICIANS? Physicians are state-licensed, board-certified, and credentialed professionals. When you are connected, members consult with U.S. Board Certified physicians, state-licensed family practitioners, pediatricians, and emergency medicine physicians who reside in the United States. When you request a consultation, you will be connected with a physician licensed to practice in your state. WHEN ARE THEY AVAILABLE? Physicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year including holidays. CAN I GET A PRESCRIPTION? If the physician believes medication is warranted, he or she can write a prescription for non-narcotic medications, which can be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Physicians WILL NOT prescribe controlled substances, psychotropic, or lifestyle drugs.
