Excellent!!!
If you are looking for an app that teaches African languages that aren’t very common, this is the app for you! I live in Zimbabwe and am trying to learn the local language, Shona. I have searched the AppStore thoroughly without finding a good Shona learning app. I finally found Sebmita and am enjoying my bite sized, easy to learn lessons. I can only make one suggestion- swap the Shona and English words so that you get an English word and have to find the Shona word. The subscriptions also are really good as they are not monthly, but paid once for all time. I might upgrade if I don’t get a Shona tutor instead. Thanks Sebmita!

Ads are annoying
This app shows a lot of promise but the ad set up is insane. There are ads between every lesson, which is fine, but then you have to stare at a pop up prompting you to pay for ad free for one month for a full 45 seconds - between EVERY LESSON. please cut that out. Make it a pop up every 5 lessons and don’t make it a 45 second requirement. 5 seconds maybe. It’s the only reason I will stop using the app.

Great app but needs to improve subscription options
The app is great and has a wealth of languages on there with pronunciation. It includes a translation section to type anything you like.
Would like to see subscription options that allow you to permanently remove ads or for at least 1 year. Paying monthly for this is just silly and deters me from staying on the app for longer - I end up on YouTube language channels after a short while.
Also would be good to include a glossary/dictionary of words as we only are learning them as part of phrases.
Thanks. Hope you consider this.
Kind Regards,
Ivor

Love this app
I think this app is amazing but I just have one complaint that I with it was easier to just to hear one word at a time, in a sentence. So it’s easy to learn that one word instead of having to hear the whole sentence or phase just to hear that one word.
Mandarin pronunciation is horrible!
First, I’ll say that I haven’t checked more than Mandarin and Swahili, and only a little bit of either. Swahili pronunciation seems ok, but not perfect. Mandarin pronunciation on the other hand, is absolutely horrible. The sort of horrible that made me wonder if they were actually trying to say alternate words for the words that I knew were correct. Additionally, the very first sentence was wrong, because no native Mandarin speaker ever says the equivalent of “Hello. How are you?”, since the words for “hello” and “how are you” are the same in Mandarin, with one small addition at the end. If you learned their horrible pronunciation and combined that with their wrong wording, there is no way that you would ever be understood. Additionally, no Chinese language appears to be supported or even mentioned on the developer’s very brief website. For these reasons, I’m not going to take the chance of learning the wrong thing, by using this app, for any language.

Loving this app so far!
I came looking for a better app since the support for African languages is nonexistent with Duolingo. Thank you for this amazing app! 🥰

Downhill ever since they started subscription
I use to love this app. Then they started ads and subscriptions. Now I can barely use it. Not only that but the price keeps changing. There should be a one time fee of like $5 not a monthly payment. They should honestly go back to being free, I wouldn’t have minded donating to the cause but the price is too much and everything keeps changing. Please bring back the free app with little to no ads! Will be looking for a new app in the meantime

Pricing issue -scam??
I was happy to pay 9.99 to use this for a month, but I am NOT happy to be asked to pay AGAIN only two days later- and this time, 29.99. I’m studying Kinyarwanda, and even though I already paid 9.99, I can’t access any of the Ievels after “animals” which is A LOT of levels.
I did a few levels for free, then got asked to pay 9.99. I gladly paid. I want to see this app succeed!
But then after completing only like 3 more lessons, and “unlocking” the “transportation” lesson, I got promoted to buy “premium” , which is 29.99. I can’t go further without paying. Again.
So, I was very excited for these languages. But is this thing just a scam?? It seems like it is.
Would love to be proved wrong.

It need a little help
I was so glad when I found an app that had my language Amharic, and when I started everything was pretty good. Then I began hearing some words that did not match the spelling or from my background knowledge on this language I had the words did not match. But overall I liked the app and the way it was built but please fix it.
