Exactly what I was looking for but limited.
I needed a widget exactly like this to deal with cptsd. I have a lot of goals and a bad and worsening, very very foggy memory as a symptom. Reminding myself of things I need to remember is really hard. Sometimes months will go by. And I can't deal with flowery language and cookie cutter positivity. I needed something customizable and on my desktop at all times REAL bad!
This app fully gets the job done.
However, besides the ability to use images, editing wididgets is limited and rigid. You can put images in using Photos if you make a folder to import them from your computer. But just selecting the folder itself directly from the computer would have been easier. The text can't be formatted. If you try to format it, the app will glitch. So the font doesn't match my other desktop widgets.
I think I will eventually upgrade anyway. It works well enough and the user can tailor the app to their own usage. Thanks for not making me put flowers on my desktop!Show lessVisuMetal
Doesn't come with photos
I thought it was going to come with pretty nature photos, but it doesn't. You can add photos, but it's not built in or automatic. Otherwise I like it so far.elishama
Incredible, better than expected
This app is now a life staple. I’ve been using it to remind me of scriptures in the Bible throughout the day. God has been using it to keep me encouraged and focused on Him.M. Marshall Jr.

Notifications redeemed!
My phone buzzes 100 times a day. Too often the notifications I get – whether they’re from work, the news, or social media – are just a distraction from the moment. When I get a notification from Pearl it reminds me to be *in* the moment. Some of my pearls are just about being present. Other pearls are about gratitude or social connection. But unlike other notifications, Pearl is showing me messages from myself. It helps me focus on the things that matter most. On top of that it’s just a beautiful app!
