Good but not great

This is basically flashcards with sound and spaced repetition. Since learning languages is very hard for me I found it a productive and rewarding way to learn.

There are errors, however. For instance, it translates chimenea as “hogar” and erroneously says that the Spanish word for fruitful means barren.

And a lot of the translations to English are words Brits use like “faff,” which are not used in the US. Some of the Spanish words like “ceca” are translated in ways that are not used by most Spanish speaking countries. For instance it translates “ceca” as “tails” but the dictionary says that’s used in Argentina for a coin flip.

It would be more useful if it showed a picture, not just the English translation, with the d Spanish word. And it would help if one could immediately review the same 20 words so as to learn then perfectly.

While I didn’t like having to spell the words because I’m mainly trying to learn to converse I found spelling them useful because it helped me detect errors in my pronunciation. For instance, sometimes I’d try to use “m”s in Spanish words similar to English words that use “n”s.

Trial subscription

After starting a trial and canceling after the one month, I was charged for a three month subscription ans informed I would have access to the APP until February 14. Fair enough, but it’s December 26 th and I am not allowed access to the APP. The reason given was cancellation of APP. I’m sorry, but it clearly states in my subscriptions that I have access for 2 & 1/2 months still. Something is fishy in their accounting department.

The condition for activating a free trial period is the connection of a paid subscription. The subscription terms clearly state that payment will be charged at the end of the trial period. The application subscription can be canceled before the end of the trial period, but no later than 24 hours before the end of the trial period. If you cancel the subscription before the end of the free trial period, the funds will not be debited. If you do not cancel the subscription before the end of the free trial period, the funds will be automatically debited. In order to arrange a refund, you must contact Apple customer support. Not working

In answering one question the space bar would not move so i could not continue to next lesson.

Great training style!

I’ve tried many versions of Spanish apps and find this one easy and fun. I like the continued repetition and that you can revisit the previous days lesson whenever you like. Excited to continue to learn!

The condition for activating the trial period is to connect a paid subscription. The subscription terms clearly state that the first 7 days are free, and payment is charged after the trial period. The application subscription can be canceled before the trial period ends. If the user cancels the subscription before the trial period ends, the funds are not debited. Refund requested

I downloaded this app and started just one lesson and decided it was not what I wanted. I joined. A 7 day trial and the payment was taken off immediately and it stated if you cancelled your subscription before the 7 days the money would be refunded. Of €69 I requested this and have been told its decision is final.

Although 10 min Spanish. Say I'm due a refund APPLE. Won't refund my money and I can't get in touch with them as the case is closed.

Be diligent

The words are selected to give you a variety of helpful hints on how to express them. I’m thankful for the trial the closer o get to the trip to Barcelona, I will pay that fee weekly , now it’s too much
