Description of HPEC

The HPEC wallet is a user centric, privacy preserving application that allows physicians like you to upload your medical credentials and receive verifiable digital credentials from credential issuing bodies. We call the credentials “verifiable” because when they are issued and accepted by you, proof of the transaction is logged on a distributed ledger, in order to record the event permanently. Our application consists of a self-sovereign identity system for each physician user, built in a secure and encrypted cloud agent that you control – your credential wallet. The digital wallet and credential verification portion of our application is built on open-sourced self-sovereign identity standards developed by the World Wide Web Consortium, (WC3,) and the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF.) Any credential issuing body who wants to participate and issue credentials can use and interoperate with our open standards-based system. In the meantime, physicians can also upload stored copies of their paper credentials, and have that data verified through the HPEC network. Once physicians have their credentials and identity verified, they are then allowed access to a private social network of other physician colleagues who have also been verified. Our unique social network includes identity verification and deploys a proprietary protocol of self-moderation making it, censorship resistant. The HPEC network allows you to build you professional reputation and connect with similarly verified colleagues on to collaborate towards common goals. Physician centric control of their verified professional data gives the physician community the ability to verify who they are in a secure and trusted way so they can move freely throughout the healthcare system. To get started you need: - a government issued ID - a copy of a medical license - 5-7 min to complete the onboarding process Let’s go!

  • Excellent App!

So many possibilities!!! With credentials owned by me within a blockchain system, so many amazing possibilities within the realm of healthcare including restructuring healthcare. Physicians often do not have proper places to share thoughts without someone trying to purchase the platform or sneak their way in. This promises we physicians hold our credentials in their “wallet” and can start communicating with one another as to which direction healthcare needs change and then eventually take action through the platform. All physicians NEED to join ASAP! Change happens slowly but access and a place to brainstorm are a start!!!
  • Exactly what we need

5 stars for 3 reasons: 1.) My whole career I’ve always wondered why credentialing has been so cumbersome, now we have a secure electronic way to store and share our credentials, quickly and easily which will save us time and money. I’m surprised that no one else has come up with this before! 2.) Communication amongst our colleagues something that is absolutely necessary in order to provide the best patient care, this tool can help us coordinate care better -across the invisible boundaries of our respective states, specialties, and place of practice. 3.) We’ve had no way to represent ourselves, physicians are not allowed to form a union, and we have no true advocacy body. Being able to communicate amongst each other will be good not only for our patients, but for us as well.
  • Finally

It is high time we have a place to take ownership of our credentials and build a community of like minded medical professionals. Kudos hpec!
