  • Confusing instructions; no real-time support

    I rented a bike on the Wilmington Riverfront. The first bike I tried didn’t work so I submitted a support ticket for my $10 fee. The second bike did work. The directions on the bike said to park in a bike spot and lock the back wheel. I made sure I was within the geofence area and parked my bike at bike rack, then locked it—I thought to end my ride. Instead, the app refused to end my ride because I wasn’t at a designated spot (apparently the original rack only) and provided no options to unlock the bike. I submitted a ticket. Concerned, I called the number in the app and on the bike three times, several minutes apart. Each time, it told me it was sending me to support and placed me on hold. Each time, it unceremoniously disconnected while I was on hold. I never received a support ticket response. With the bike locked, I had no option to return it back to the start, and the app is continuing to charge my card. Without live support options—or clear directions—renter beware.

    Update: got a call back from customer support. At the moment there’s only one person that is handling customer support calls. He called me back and stopped the clock running on my rental. They also reversed my $10 non-working rental.
