Leave a Review Greek Islands
a wonderfully informative, colorful and easy to use guide!
I can’t say enough about Dana Facaros’s wonderful new APP — THE GREEK ISLANDS. The writing is brilliant, the pictures are gorgeous and her knowledge about the history and culture of Greece make it a joy to read — whether or not you actually make the trip! But if you or someone you know are planning travels to Greece, the APP has many handy features that allow you to decide which island(s) will best meet your needs — whether you are in search of archeological sites, beaches, sporting activities, travel with children, food, wine, etc. And while I treasure my original copy of GREEK ISLAND HOPPING by Cadogen Press, I am thankful that Facaros has given her original book a new life in the form of an easy to use APP that should be in the hands of anyone who has traveled or hopes to travel to this beautiful country.Show lessGreek Islands: If Odysseus had this Guide he would have had even more adventures.
Whether your interests are in the mysteries of the ancient gods, the serene beauty of gazing into the sea from Santorini, exploring the Corfu of Gerald and Lawrence Durrell, learning the history of the Minoans on Crete or merely reveling on the sun-soaked beaches of a thousand islands the best introduction you can find to Greece is in the recently updated Greek Islands Tour Guide by Dana Facaros. Facaros has been writing about her ancestral homeland ever since she hoodwinked a British publisher into funding her first book on the islands before she was twenty some (it would be indiscrete to even try to calculate) years ago. Suffice it to say, she and her husband Michael Pauls have written numerous tour guides on Italy, Spain, France, and even the good old United States that I have referred to for many a year, but the authoress of this app continues to return to her true love: Greece.Show less
