DiscovARminett is a digital travel companion in the form of an augmented reality app and guides both locals and visitors trough the Esch2022 region. The app highlights the fascinating history of the various municipalities in the south of Luxembourg and neighbouring France. Augmented reality technology enables interactive discovery and immersion in the history of the region. By pointing the smartphone camera at the building, the user can discover the place in a different time period. Additional background information is provided to the user in the form of stories, stories, audio files as well as images and text files. 14 exciting tours with numerous hotspots to discover await you. This app was developed as part of the European Capital of Culture Esch2022.
