Peace of mind
Watch Duty is by far the best sight for relieving PTSD, they give you the exact information of what’s happing including pictures, speed of growth and when they use air tankers , I know Exactly what is happening and when it safe again. I have shared this sight with many people and everybody loves it. I highly recommend it.

Watch Duty is the most important App I have
Watch Duty is vitally important for anyone living in a fire threat area in California. The information is accurate, a map is provided for each incident so you can get the lay of the land. Info is provided via push notifications, so it comes through even with a poor signal. Much thanks to the developers and the crew who monitor scanners and provide the reports.

Indispensable
Watch Duty is one of those apps you’ve always said “hey wouldn’t it be great if..” well watch duty does that, it notifies you of any fire in your selected county(ies). It’s updated by many of the best “Fire Twitter” folks out there. When it’s a red flag day a quick notification can make a huge difference. Being able to quickly find evacuation zones, crews assigned or enroute is all valuable information with Watch Duty gives you. I’ve preached it’s value to friends, family and their I know in tech and media. An added bonus, the notifications will also come on your Apple Watch.

Real time accurate fire reporting
The creators of this app deserve an award. This was a much needed tool that every California resident needs to have. It pulls in real time information from multiple sources giving residents the best info they need for fires near them. Such a time saver! No longer have to hop around from app to app, it’s all here. Thank you!!

Best Wildfire awareness app, couple suggestions though
I live in a wild land space and place a very high value on timely and detailed wildfire information. For updates on a fire that is an active incident this has them all beat, hands down.
However, I noticed with dismay that a very recent recent fire off Edgewood road has already disappeared off the map, and the latest update release notes have indicated that fires will drop off the map sooner going forward.
Feature request: provide a way to look at earlier fires either by adjusting the rate at which fires drop off, a map area search, or some other means.
Super grateful for this app, the change suggested would make it six stars IMO. :)

Thank you for a clear concise and comprehensive fire safety and alert application
After the CZU fire in Santa Cruz, it feels like fire season is now always on top of us. I got my first Watch Duty alerts to my Apple Watch the other day and was able to clearly seeing receive updates to what was happening. The format is great and the updates are really informative. By far the best app for this sort of thing. Well done!

On top of things!
This is a great app! There was a fire just a few miles down the road and I knew about it before I even heard the fire engines. It’s notified me of fires that Cal Fire never even sent a text about. This is so great for those of us who have already experienced major wildfires & now are constantly concerned about the next one. It feels like there are people always on duty keeping an eye out.

I love this app.
Living in Northern California can be very stressful during fire season. It’s also difficult to find out up-to-the-minute information about fires in my area. I love that this app alerts me when a fire is reported, and that I can turn on notifications for updates. I highly recommend it if you live in an area that is prone to wildfires.

Exceptional App
This app is probably the most important and useful thing on my phone during fire season. Timely detailed info on every wild fire and vegetation fire. Frequent and accurate updates on the response and fire activity. Very reassuring to have all this good info in one place. Well done and many thanks to the developers.
