No new missions, AR is glitchy
I explored the app after getting the Enterprise built when it first came out. AR is novel, but challenging to keep active without a lot of space around the model. The sound effects console in the app are fun.
I just came back to it after a year and a half to try the mission with my nine year-old grand daughter. The AR seems even less forgiving now after a few iOS upgrades to my iPad Pro (large size). The system gear icons are often masked strangely, and the final one in the engine room is enormous and masked by the model itself. Had to randomly tap in the engine room to activate it. Also very disappointed that there are no more missions available. I also see a warning pop up message when starting the mission about some license expiring in five days. What?!Show lessNo longer works on iPhone 5s
Bit cheesed off that the app that previously worked utilising my old iPhone5s that the kids use as a remote for several devices including Playmobil Enterprise and Lego now requires later devices.
How about releasing a legacy version so the 5s can be used again as the Enterprise screen and controller.Show lessA good start and companion to the model
Given the limitless options it’s surprising what’s missing from the app based and built in sound effects.
Transporters - phasers - and chats from other characters would all be expected and welcomed.
That said you get about a half dozen sound effects and as many lighting effects with no sound.
The little app adventure is fun, hopefully they will build on this and expand the app based fun for this great kit.Show less
