YouTube shorts blocking on iOS can break the site
I love this app and want to use the new Shorts Blocking feature, but it seems to have issues on iOS, notably when trying to search for videos or navigate to a channel. This only happens when Shorts Blocking is enabled.alechemy

Thanks for the suggestion! You can also pick a different default starting page for YouTube, for example Subscriptions or Watch Later. To do that you have to enable additional extension called BlockYT Extra, then tap BlockYT icon in Safari to see the extra settings.It works!

Can still see recommendations, short videos comments & everything
I have terrible addiction to those YouTube short scrolling videos. It doesn’t block those out just the home page but not the short videos on the home page. You can still see the comments on shorts and continue scrolling. You can also see recommendations when searching for videos! I hope they fix that.Show lessAdam Trucker
Legit a Time Saver

I’m in shock
My YouTube addiction has gotten so bad that I have decided to try and curb my scrolling habit. I will go from video to video trying to find something interesting to watch when I could be doing something much more productive. I also focused way too much on what people are saying about the video rather than trying to form my own opinion about it and just enjoy the video on its own without wondering what others think about it. I use this app and combination with the intention app, as the Intention app doesn’t completely get rid of the shorts section which is my vice often times if I somehow find my way onto it. Great - Works as Intended!
Like another reviewer, I’d deleted my YouTube app because it was super distracting. But because YouTube works just fine with Safari, I found myself still getting distracted by YouTube recommendations, comments, etc. So I am very happy to have discovered this BlockYT app for safari. Works like a charm :) It also beats using a time limit app since you can usually just tap an option to use the app past the time you set. Anyways, thank you to the developer(s)!Show lessGellie2020
Does what it says it does
It would be nicer though if it had more customizability.
As of now, it only lets you toggle 3 things: recommendations (which blanket removes all recommendation feeds, including video sidebar), likes/dislikes, and comments.
