Short and sweet
DECEPTIVE App
Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry there was confusion about the nature of the app. We use one unified app to house our tour catalog in order to create a more seamless experience for customers who wish to experience multiple tours in different locations. Our tour is indeed separate from the organization which runs Colonial Williamsburg, as we offer a distinct service for those looking to enhance their visit to the living museum.
Not Accessible

I’m very sorry you encountered this issue. Were you able to contact our 24/7 support team for assistance? Once downloaded, the tour should work with or without internet, which is why we recommend that users download tours in advance.
Worthless app

Thank you for your feedback! While we do design our tours with a specific starting point in mind, it is possible to manually start from a later point by selecting it on the List view. We do hope you still enjoyed your visit to Colonial Williamsburg!
Literally saved $135

Yay! We're so delighted to know that your whole group enjoyed the tour! The convenience of walking around at your pace is a huge benefit of this self-guided audio. I’m thrilled that we could bring Colonial Williamsburg to life. Thanks again!
Great stories
I am glad we chose to skip the tickets and used the App. It was a lot cheaper and we still got to absorb the atmosphere of the colonial city.

We're so glad that you enjoyed the tour! Thank you so much for the review. Please consider filling out the feedback form at the end so we can learn where to improve. Thanks again!
Meh
I suppose if you’re by yourself and plugged into head phones, and wanted to stare at your device.
I’m also not sure that it’s accurate. For example, app says that Mr. Wythe was an abolitionist while it was clear that he owned slaves (according to the grounds and CW staff).
$7 loss, don’t let it be your loss either.

This self-guided tour saves $45 per person. It’s great for folks who want to explore Colonial Williamsburg without buying a $45 ticket, or don’t have the full day to go inside each historic home. This tour allows you to walk around town while learning about what you’re seeing and why it matters. It’s totally hands-free — the audio pops up based on your location, so there’s no need to constantly stare at the phone! For Wythe’s story, be sure to listen to the Learn More story which talks about how he freed his slaves.
