Leave a Review Plain Org
Great App with some issues
The app is great with some issues.
Copying and pasting doesn’t work all the time, whether its within the document or from the web. The issue above persists in the scratch app too. Another issue is the keyboard features to write quick notes from the scratch app aren’t there when editing raw text. Lastly, the current dark theme needs to be replaced with a grey or charcoal theme because the current dark theme contrast’s too much with the white text.
Will update review when fixed.Show lessA place for notes that is my own
I like using this app for my main notes. I can work in plaintext everywhere between plain org and emacs and feel that my writing is my own. Apple Notes is great and has a million features, but incredibly doesn’t have a bulk export feature. Effectively anything you make there is trapped.Good software but currently broken
Not sure where to file bug reports. If it’s non-maintained it should be taken off the App Store because currently it’s impossible to edit files with recent iOS updates.Simple but exceptional
I like applications which are simple in design and don’t try to add all the complexity immediately. One can see that this app is still developing but it allows a simple and robust org mode visualisation which is exactly what I was after. I find it better for that job compared to other apps available.Show less4 stars
It often doesn’t resolve roam links, and the “new features” dialogue pops up often for no reason. Also, it always adds a logbook for todos. Other than that, perfect app.If you use emacs, try it
This is very handy. It still has room for improvement, but I believe it is getting there!Developer Response
Thank you! Glad you find it useful. Finally
Finally an org which I will use and makes sync just work with little overhead. Great job!
Now checking out *scratch* & journellyDeveloper Response
Thanks. Glad you like it!Finally!
I love emacs but also like using a normal phone with my notes in a nice interface. Just wanted to say being on a phone brought some sync issues where I’d write updates to a file before the app could download updates. It’s a normal occurrence when you take the subway often.
I’ve resorted to combining this app with another one called working copy. It lets me download my notes from a git repository locally, I make my edits on this app and when I’m done I commit back the changes. I thought I’d share this neat trick in case anyone else was like me, apprehensive about losing data and decided against having their org notes on a phone.
I might write a hook to ease the flow of pushing and pulling changes but for the most part I’m using it to read things and pulling is easy enough.Show lessIt’s good
Definitely one of the better apps out there for managing org files on iOS.Developer Response
Glad to hear it. Thank you!Fantastic!
This app let’s me get in, view or add to my org notes on the go (usually checking off or adding tasks), then get on with life. Very low friction involved. A million thanks to the dev!! <3Developer Response
Thank you. Wonderful to hear.
